BT has not good Senior management over the years but the staff however were good and Loyal including the Civil service members. It has been shafted twice at least with market lead influence for overseas buys once in the US and possibly twice in Italy which lost a lot of money. It was it's sale of MMO2 (Yes that O2) that was it's biggest failure so much so it paid over the odds tp get back into mobile with EE. It has been burdened with Universal service demands by government as well as service cost restriction from OFCOM as well as divestments. It's amazing it hasn't had a nervous breakdown.

I joined in Post Office Telecommunications in 1969 and "retired" from BT in 2000, my golden pension as people call it got downgraded from Retail Prices Index (RPI) to the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) and even with RPI it never kept up with inflation as all increases are paid a year later.
