I knew Paul King, guitarist/jug player in Mungo Jerry, many years ago from what I remember he was asked to put one of his songs on the B side of In the Summertime but declined as he wanted it as an A side.
Ray Dorsey put another of his songs on the B side and the song became a worldwide hit selling tens of millions.
The sad thing was that royalties are split evenly between the A and B side and Paul could have been made for life.
I am sure that Hfd will come good, all the ducks seem to be in a row and looking back to 2012 , when cycling took off after Bradley Wigan’s won the Tour de France and UK cycling did great at the olympics, it took a year or two for them to go from just under £2 to about £5.70.

Well I sold at 2.3 and 2.4 but it is probably still worth selling at 2 when the options are taken into account.

More like offloading to fund rights issue purchase and excess application.

Brad, why would exchange rates come in to it for the options.
The options in Aus are priced at 8c, double the 4c rights issue price so I would expect the U.K. options to be priced at 4.4p, double the 2.2p rights price.

Well I thought that they were hopeless,, when Ibought I seemed to pay more than the trades going through the market at the same time and when I sold I allways seemed to get a lower price so I gave up and transferred both accounts to Barclays

Wyndrum, it must have been obvious to them for at least a couple of months that demand would be unprecedented so I would imagine that they will have plenty of orders in the supply chain.
It looks to me that there are about ten times as many bikes on the road now so I would imagine that bike repairs and servicing have been out the door as well.
No doubt high margin accessories are flying off the shelves.
Camping must be doing very well.
Electric scooters are taking off and should be a high revenue earner for them.
Car maintenance should be good with many cars needing batteries etc because they have been parked and in a few m9nths there will be a backlog of MOT’s.
On top of that they have an extra 26 million going to the bottom line due to the rates rebate.
I do not see any reason why the share price should not reach the £5.70 that it was at a few years ago.

Progress has been slow but I still have every confidence in the BOD and I shall be applying for my entitlement plus excess.
I do like the free options, they could be a very nice bonus further down the line.

It was originally this week but was changed in the 6th May update.

Tricky, some very good points, however I would imagine that every bike retailer in the country has had stock problems due to the unprecedented demand.
Emeraldcarrots posted a link a few days ago to bikes in stock at Halfords, which was down to 23, this has since increased to 54.
I am sure that Halfords would have been aware many weeks ago that they would need a lot more stock and no doubt the additional stock will have been ordered and now in the supply chain.
Plenty more to be sold on the back of the cycle to work scheme and other pro cycling government initiatives.

Good article in the Sunday Times magazine today about e-scooters, including.
Graham Stapleton, the chief executive of Halfords, said:

As far as I can see they have everything in their favour at the moment.
I have never seen so many bikes on the road, lots of people seem to be getting into cycling.
The government is really pushing people to use bikes instead of public transport.
The cycle to work scheme should give them a big boost.
E-scooters will be really big shortly, huge in other countries.
Camping should do really well this summer.
As you say batteries etc should sell well and there will be a backlog of Mot’s.
The government have basically given them £26 million with the rates freeze.
The shares were £5.70 a few years ago, I would hope that the price can head in that direction over the next months and years.

Well the share price did reach 560 in 2015 on profits of 87.3 million, so if there is a cycling boom and things get back to near normal there should be plenty of running room for a bit more growth in the share price.
Especially as the 26 million saving in business rates will go straight to the bottom line.

I remember back in 2012, Bradley Wiggins had just won the Tour de France and British Cyclists we’re winning heaps of medals at the London Olympics, suddenly there were cyclists everywhere and I thought that Halfords must be a great buy.
I did not buy and watched the price go from just under £2 to £4 in a year then over £5 the following year, so I have been kicking myself ever since. When I saw everyone and their dog cycling following the lockdown I was not going to make the same mistake again.
The other point is that the business rates rebate, detailed in the recent trading statement, will save them £26 million this year which is around 50% of annual profits, not to be sneezed at.

Excellent presentation from Eric and Luke on Shares Magazine Webinar, lots to look forward to over the next few months and a comment that market cap could be 3,4 or 5 times current when it all comes together.

No Easy, I am looking at it from a different angle, in view of the massive power shortages in Southern Africa I would think that the the market will take as much as we can produce from both CBM and Solar.
The quicker that both ramp up the quicker we get our rewards and we keep the government and green lobby happy.
