I believe it was a sell...didn't know yesterday, but thinking about it was probably helping to keep the share price down at 21p yesterday.
The ask now lifting into the 22s supports this imo.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. Newcrest are known to be struggling a little. (I’ll leave my view of ggp here) and they just don’t have the clout and spare money to take advantage of anything.
I did wonder whether Rio might want cascadel. But I’ve not heard that they are looking To expand in that direction as they have a lot on their plate already.

Seems strange if a sell then that's an incredibly good price...and the share is up today, which didn't make sense.

They had that from this morning to fill imo...and they found it easy indeed..

I really don't care about whether solg takes all of it or none of it to production..although it is very interesting and certainly worth talking about .
If solg gets the 150m funding then the market will be very very positive..
If it then outlines the 2.6bn of funding then the market will re rate solg.
If an offer come in it will rerate.

You can also guarantee that it was somebody selling straight away to try and get in on a spike elsewhere. They have probably lost 10% selling early here and will be spiked for 10% buying first thing on a bit share. 20% lost in 10 mins...
Market makers eat these alive.
If they were really devious and they are..You could say they had a big order to fill on solg, dropped the share down 7% on open, with a light bid to attract sells, then piled on the dma bids. (Approx 17 now), progressively higher up to and beyond 21p.

Moving quick now just 4 small dma s on the ask...just 3 to 25p with the mms obviously still in place...
A very lopsided book now on the upside, first time for months..

Its going to be a good day.

For awhile now we had two big dma orders say on the ask at 21.5 and 22.25 I think the prices were, certainly 600-700k of shares.
today they are missing....It could be an oversight and they havent got round to loading them.
But it could be that they opted to sell at a lower price hence the 600k just before close today.

These dma s have really helped to slow and cap the price at 21.5 ....if they really have gone then.....:) :)

There is a bigger pool of companies looking to buy copper and gold assets...citi were touting fortescue as wanting to desperately get into this area and even said they were loaded with 2.5bn to do it.I

Th last six days has seen the highest volume of any six day period in the last six months (exc the massive drop days from 22p to 11p).
I am not sure what that means tbh.
At 20-21p we are pushing up against the top of the 6 month trading band and we might just be affected by that.I'e nothing to do with financing vwap.
There are still shares to clear between 20 and 23p but buyers happy to pick up any sells from private investors...

£100k £50m and a few other decent buys.
£120k might be a buy or sell.I

Still generally low liquidity and wide spreads, but also some surprising movements without a real trade reason.
Normally on a well publicised web event the sp ends down as traders buy before the event and try to sell on the event..at least in the 10 plus years I've been listening to these.

There are some really bad management boards on LSE and AIM inparticular...solg doesn't come close to them imo..they are pretty much par for any decent company..

I agree 're bid. You don't hire citi. To advise you on.hostile bids if you don't think there is going to be a hostile bid...

No director buys, but it does beg the question, who's been buying 250k 500k chunks?
It was a very open discussion though and I can wait a week or two for the finalised financing that isn't at the current share price..but is at the value of the actual project!
