Agree with what you see re the geographical switch Lord. I've been in SMT since 2013 and thought I was doing well to buy more at £12.08, especially given the relatively decent discount to NAV. My biggest mistake over the years was selling a large chunk at £7 to go chasing rainbows on AIM. This one will always come good with a good set of heads at the helm - it just takes a bit of patience.
I think you need to check your coffee Robuk - someone's slipped you a roofie
Cheers MrC - amazing what a phone call to HL can do - cash now in my account :)
Still waiting on my funds from HL too - very frustrating as although I've benefitted from the ZNWD rise, it could've been much more
Happy New Year All and thanks to all who make this board a very informative place - EV_Bull, Obs, JimB, Barksy & Zoom just to name a few and sorry for those I've missed out. Like many of you, I've been here since the DL REM days and my average was originally in the 90s. Luckily I've been able to average down a bit this year but I'm still a long way from breaking even. This is without doubt the most positive I've felt about this share in the years I've been here. Here's to 2022 being our year. All the best folks :)
Hi John - yes, going to hold onto them and added another wedge yesterday as well. Hoping to do a bit better there than I did here. What about you?
Some very valid points raised here Foz and John. Anyone considering holding and going down the rabbit hole with Ganfeng really needs to consider all of these points. These are the reasons I decided to offload the majority of my shares as I wasn't prepared to take the risks. I sincerely wish all those holding the best of luck and I really hope you get rewarded but the stakes were just too high for me.
Yes, 1230 and that's it til Wednesday
Apologies - ZNWD - fat fingers
johnpwh, my understanding is that the ZWLD payment is treated as a dividend therefore is potentially subject to income tax as opposed to CGT (if, as you say, held outwith a tax wrapper)
Got my freebies from BCN yesterday and decided to load up here with another wedge. Here's hoping I have better luck here than I did by BCN over the years. I already see a few familiar faces including Johnpwh and MrC.
trikidiki - I don't recall EV or Obs giving anyone any advice! Anyway, HL have extended the closing date for the vote until noon on 23/12/2021.
Totally agree with you there Jam. It makes no sense to accept at the moment unless you really have to for financial reasons.
Agreed MrsB - not sure about the rule interpretation at the end with letting some cars unlap themselves though
Or maybe Bannor is just a little smarter than you?
Bob, you are twisting words yet again - if you re-read my post, it says 500+ (the clue is in the symbol to the right of the number)
Bob, I don't see the relevance of your line of questioning to this board. If 500+ investors are happy to pool funds to assist with a campaign to try and get shareholders a better deal then so be it. This board is for the purposes of discussing BCN and not the validity or integrity of the funding of a group that doesn't concern you. Move on.
I think what John meant was the markets are a sea of red and it's the GF offer that's holding up our price.
MrLithium - it's funny enough that you are talking to yourself via different aliases but even funnier that you forgot to log out and log in as one of the others. Boobla is now arguing with himself
