The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Yes, of course. As I said, there is nothing wrong with healthy debate. You come across as a well read investor but sometimes the way you speak to people leaves a lot to be desired. For the record, I'm glad you are here as the more input to discussions the better. Let's all just try and be civil to each other and continue with healthy debate.
Fela96 - there is a big difference between healthy debate and snide, condescending remarks. I welcome the first but the second says more about the person's true character.
Fela96 – I understand your point here but your way of speaking with others is not great. It’s almost as if you are always itching for a fight. There really is no need – if you don’t get the answer you are looking for then simply move on rather than goad and mock.
They seem pretty bullish on SMT:

Apologies DSM - you can chart the share price against various benchmarks on HL - just not the NAV
Yeah, for some reason the HL site doesn't let you chart against benchmark indexes. There are probably better options out there and maybe Fela69 has a better site.
DSM - You can see the share price and the NAV on the HL website:

I hear the donkey sanctuary did very well from all the donations from over enthusiastic investors frothing over the 5p party.
Degsie, I imagine that MrC, like me, doesn't want to crystalise a paper loss. Having been here for more than a decade myself, I tend to agree with MrC's sentiment. I hope you honestly don't believe that anything said on these boards actually has a material impact on the share price :)
All I’m saying JimB is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether that be good or bad. With respect, you have no grounds for calling Roger a ‘spineless day trader.’ He may well have been in this share for as long as me and sitting on a considerable paper loss – hence the frustration. There have been many false dawns and I’m sure that Roger, like the rest of us, is keen to see this share do well.
JimB, I doff my cap to you, Ob, EV_Bull, Bannor, Tomcat, Zoom, Mullins and all the other posters who tirelessly research this share and give invaluable insights. There really is no need to try and belittle Roger though is there? Whilst this board is full of great information, it also reeks of confirmation bias and anyone who dares to challenge a positive view gets hung, drawn and quartered. Surely it’s a good thing that others have differing views, after all, that’s what these boards are all about. If there weren’t differences of opinion, it would just become a fanboy board. Also, whilst not aimed at you, I really don’t see the need for keyboard warrior personal attacks. Perhaps some need to take a reality check as we are all just passing through the AIM Casino – let’s just play nice eh? Best wishes Mer, I hope you have a speedy recovery.
Happy Birthday Mrs B, I've lost count of how many years I've been saying this :) I hope it's a good one!

Sid's Snake and Shiner :)
Don't worry maddog, I think Y has been sniffing Dizzy's farts :)
EV, that last paragraph is really interesting, thanks. Perhaps this is one of the reasons this share is so undervalued as the majority of people haven't thought of this.
...or the naivety to believe everything he said has
Haha Eric - that brings back memories. That donkey sanctuary probably generated enough that month to keep Dave in pies for quite some time
I'm sitting at -35% but EWI is worse at -41%. As Walp said earlier - no need to panic unless you are forced to sell and if you have any spare funds, now could be the time to top up if you think we've reached close to the bottom. I know the falling knife analogy and you will never know when we have reached the absolute bottom but for me, anything I'm buying at these prices is reducing my average.
Sorry to hear that Mrs B - fingers crossed for a speedy recovery
