The rise in fuel and labour costs etc have been offset by lower standards of ingredients (less nutritious), less of them and cheaper packaging, something other industries cannot change.

We have found our food expenditure has increased significantly along with everyone else's, but a good percentage of the increase is because we shop at better outlets as we don't enjoy eating carp.

Not to mention restaurant prices, but if the food is good I'll pay the rate, and some really know how to charge.
