I see the IMF are getting in on the act and warning the US and the rest of the world about the repercussions of the potential forthcoming debt default.

Meanwhile the losers here (and north of the border) are still talking the UK down, stuck in a miserable existence and unable or unwilling to see what's going on around them, just thinking about times gone by.

First the Scottish (SNP) and now the Welsh (Plaid Cymru) both leftwing nationalist and committed to independence. Both rotten to the core.

Next will be regional councils and mayors waking up to the new found powers of devolution.

No wonder there's such a clamour to enter politics.

I'm not convinced of the latest rush to devolution. Just look at the different clean air mandates from around the UK. It's the beginning of free movement restrictions and probably a precursor to road charging.

You can equate Scottish independence with the Lloyds HBOS takeover, the grandiose independence thinking of the SNP. They will require a massive bailout from south of the border.

Non existence of due diligence the figures just don't add up, even to the point of what currency.

The Duke of Cornwall, the Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland, the king of the United Kingdom crowned. I'm sure everyone will wish him well on this joyous occasion………

Actually this is a wind up mainly for our cantankerous SNP supporters who are going through difficult times with their beloved party disintegrating before their eyes. So today, especially for the likes of Machiismo and Gazzleberry as we know they will be raising a glass today for their new king, I have a simple message. Enjoy your day but don't go overboard with your celebrations as there's no fool like an old fool.

Prolific Liberal Democrat candidate Chris Twells has finally received the electoral reward his commitment to standing as a losing candidate deserves. He has just been elected to represent Tetbury with Upton. Despite already being a councillor 160 miles away.
Although his behaviour is legal, Twells’s literature did make the dubious claim he could “keep in touch and work hard for this area all year round”. The Mayor of Salford, where Chris is already a councillor, has now called on him to “do the right thing and resign”. He will now be able to claim double expenses. Chris had defended his electoral two-timing by claiming he was merely a “paper candidate”. Oops.

All the lefty's very vocal this morning, crowing about mid-term local elections.
How can anyone support a party with no policy's?
Do you lot honestly believe that the nomdoms and a windfall tax is going to cut it? Think again.
