I wonder how the latest reg/guidance from the FCA is going to affect banks?

There's a lot of ambiguous phrases in their guidance like "Do your products or services have features that could risk harm for groups of customers with characteristics of vulnerability?"

"What intelligence are you using to monitor the fair value of your products and services on an ongoing basis?"

All geared to offer a realistic return on deposits, a roundabout way to enforce banks to offer interest rates rises in line with mortgage rate rises.
