Poland summons Russian ambassador after rocket hit Polish village
Polish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lukasz Jasina (pictured) in a statement said Russia's ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev has been summoned to the Foreign Ministery after a Russian-made rocket hit a Polish village of Przewodow.

The strike occurred at 03:40 pm CET and killed two citizens of the Republic of Poland, the spokesperson said, adding that Warsaw demanded "immediate detailed explanations" from Andreyev.

Earlier, Poland's NATO allies said they could not confirm reports that a blast resulted from a stray Russian missile

Breaking news, Russian ,(stray) missiles hit Poland, two dead.

Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L) has appointed HSBC's head of strategy Chirantan Barua as Chief Executive Officer of Scottish Widows and its wider insurance, pensions and investments business, it said on Tuesday.
Barua will join Charlie Nunn, his former HSBC colleague and current Lloyds chief executive at the British bank from next year, Lloyds said.

Let's be clear, we, BEM, don't need permission from the Sami to proceed with the "planned drilling of water samples, noise and air measurements and inventories of natural values."
We've only offered a consultation out of courtesy. They are not the landowners.
They, just like us are using the land, the only difference is we are paying the landowners for the privilege.

I know the EU likes to promote harmony, but check your sources on that. From what I'm reading it's all arguments and discord. I can understand why, everything issued from Brussels, words or deeds comes with attachments to fall in line with the great European dream, or else.

Another much-repeated item in the Labour catechism over the last week or so has been that changing the tax law for non-doms to tax them on their worldwide income will raise £3 billion.

This is an excellent idea. It will provide proper evidence for the – possibly niche knowledge – of where non-doms sit on the Laffer Curve.

If Laffer-lovers are right, the higher tax arrangement will send billionaires off to live in Monaco for 180 days a year and the new law will raise nugatory (that's insignificant for the lefty fantasists) revenue.

If Labour is right, we will all benefit from the laxity, stupidity and carelessness of our wealthiest residents and we’ll swipe three of their billions off them.
