Chris best not to ask what other would do . No one knows where the sp is going to be in the next few weeks also we all how our own unique strategy when it comes to making money so I advise you to pick your strategy and act based on it. You know the saying what comes easily goes easily. it's very true

indeed the company has been improving year on year so far, but my guess is the market didint like the fact revenues where not increasing as they are quite small as they are, hopefully full year results will be better

yes i am only saying so investors wouldnt get too spooked should it not be enough, to be fair getting done with 2 would not require exceptional results

yep downtoearth you are correct 200 wells all online would make us very rich, of course my assumption always was that they would need to have more wells online if the 2 was not enough, although would make the project less commercial, it would still be commercial

i dont think its a matter of whether the gas flow rates are commercial or not, for example the gas flow rates from 2 wells might not be enough for 2mw , but they would still be commercial, so i guess tony wants to put the best results out there

Great interview guess the main point is that getting the rep is not the main objective of the company but rather a shortcut to getting connected to the Sapp where there really is just endless demand for electricity

Bts I might also add that your opinion is welcomed on this board personally never thought of you as a deramper just someone who is justifiably disappointed with how the sp has performed ...facts matter and calling someone a deramper is just a way for someone to escape those facts. i pay no attention to those who are too sensitive to see the possible negatives here.. no perfect company as there is no perfect men I guess. happy to have a balanced discussion board here.

not a clue but always a possibility, wasnt trying to allude to that at all, but rather him stating specifically they are looking for 10 mil while as previously giving a more vague number giving me the impression that perhaps they are moving on with finance discussions!? not a clue really :P

i have been reading about cbm wells, seems the majority of them seem to average around 170k cubic feet per day with peak production peaking at nearly double than that in some cases, i am just wondering here how close the flow rates will be to the minimum required for 2mw..
also there is some inconsistencies with what colm has said, he previously said in an interview it takes 15 -20 US million dollars for 2-4 mw now saying they need 10 US mil. its interesting he has become more specific, perhaps that is what they were offered ?

i should say i totally get the frustration of long term tlou shareholders as we all know the sp was doing quite well until the cancellation of the tender. but it seems we are finally getting somewhere, the only thing holding us back now are the flow rates, think tlou holders never considered how crucial gas flow rates were going to be with everyone being focused solely on the tender award...i dont understand where you get there is no interest in this company, they literally mentioned in the interview the name of the banks willing to fund the project. i am sure there is a lot going on in the background, but again not a lot can happen until gas flow rates are confirmed imo. also worth remembering that the recent placees agreed to hold onto their shares for 12 months...

bythesea its funny you say you have no reason to believe otherwise then try and suggest(?) that it is otherwise. perhaps its not that this is the only route to the market for tlou but so far the best route not only for tlou but to its shareholders?
i am thinking tony is thinking years ahead here and dont want to give half of the project away to someone

also worth pointing out that whilst retail investors may take the risk of buying into a company with commercial flow rates yet to be confirmed, i find it unlikely that bigger institutions would do so and are more likely to be more careful with their money. might explain some things imo

just to clarify the reason you got the amount of gas per day is because you multiplied by 24, 2mwh * 24 means 2mw per hour for 24 hours so you dont realy get 48mwh

i dont know what people are talking about when they say the bod needs replacing, can you first point out how long do you think these talks should take and why is that so ? it seems to me we should get all done and dusted by end of this year, which pretty much means rapid growth for the company provided they get funding secured, we are literally then at the point where this company could make us all very rich...any risk that exists imo is botswana related not tlou imo

the figures should be quite the same i think so as essentially we have natural gas as well just get it from a different source from my understanding, i was checking it out myself and got from one source it took 7.6 cubic feet per kwh and another source approx 10 cubic feet per kwh i tried to calculate myself using the average heat rate and fuel heat content
as you can see there is the formula as well

you get a table for operating heat rate of various power plants using different fuels over there as well
heat rate divided by heat content

7.6 cubic feet per kwh
so for mwh it should be 7600
if working for 24h it would be 7600*24 which is 182400 cubic feet
so was just interested as this then proves i maybe did it cforrectly? :P

can you tell me how did you get to 170 k cubic feet per day for 2 mwh ? i have mostly relied on certain people on twitter who are much more knowledgeable than me

id say anything over 200 should bes good then , something similar was posted on twitter research group as well, the two wells should be more than enough to get 2mw done and then from there on they will seek further funding i assume which shouldnt be hard to get although if flow rates will be lower they still will be commercial just obviously more costly to produce the same amount of gas

thats what i fear as well, if flow rates are good and the sp is not moving up i fear plenty of traders/investors will be disappointed and will sell on news, meaning who knows we might even end up seeing red on that day...i personally think the market has already adjusted for positive flow rates and its just the general aim market that is not doing well...so gotta just wait it out
