Tantalum production and prices14 Nov 2021 02:44
So KZG are going to produce 10,000kg (that’s 10 tonnes) per month, not 10,000 tonnes per month by the end of 2022.
That sounds like sweet f-all.
The only non-subscriber reference I can find to current tantalum prices is here:
https://www.metal.com/search?keyword=Tantalum&type=price
and here
https://www.tti.com/content/ttiinc/en/resources/marketeye/categories/passives/me-zogbi-20211005.html
This is all uninformed conjecture:
Tantalum ore (as per 2nd link)
$100/tonne?
10,000 kg per month = 10 tonnes per month, = $1000/month, $12,000 per annum , or £9,000 per annum!
Really?
I am ignorant on these matters, but the lack of clarity from KZG about what the deals are does not help.
Can anyone shed more light on this ?
If they were selling the Tantalum as Tantalum Peroxide that would be a different matter:
So not knowing what / how they are selling, taking the lowest current price of RMB 1,500 per kg = £175/kg for Tantalum Peroxide :
By end of 2022, according to the forecast of 10,000kg/month production that would equate to revenue of £1,750,000 per month/£21,000,000 per annum.
Better.
Diamonds:
“Additional”300 carats / month at £750/carat = £225,000/month, £2,700,000 per annum.
That after a 6 fold increase so might be able to add 15% or so to this.
(Mining area contain 400,000 carats = £300,000,000). Mine life at this rate 100 years - need to get faster production !
Anyone else with thoughts on this ?
What other revenue is forthcoming ? Lithium?
I am now struggling to “do the math” here .
I would appreciate any number crunching from fellow investors.
