US Department of Defense ("DoD")

genedrive was contracted by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) to develop Genedrive® as a portable bio-warfare testing system. The development contract was worth approximately $10.0 million to date and has included approximately 185 Genedrive unit sales since 2014. The contract has now moved on to a conventional commercial phase and, as announced on 25 March, the Company has now received confirmation that a long-term supply contract with the DoD will be agreed that will enable ordering from Autumn 2020 onwards. The first internal DoD customer to procure under this contact has indicated an intention to order circa 500 Genedrive® units over the first 3 years.

I think the placing is great news, we have played our part as shareholders, inflating the price to the point where the company can now raise millions to help fund its expansion. You can't just go from being a company worth £4 million to £100 million overnight without needing some cash to build. We now have the big partners, live products, soon to be a healthy cash balance and are on the verge of launching our blockbuster product. This product and the lives it will save has been helped made possible by PI's.

If you are down on your investment I doubt you will be for long, so research and relax. Selling your shares now is a gift to the MM's IMO.

Covid is here to stay and testing will be a way of life now so we're a lot earlier into the space than you might think. Major partner on board. Our product will be used for mass screening campaigns all over the world. As soon as we hit production we'll be getting massive orders and for a long time IMO.

NCYT just RNS'd sales orders of £90mil, great for holders there. Gives you some idea of what we might expect here in a couple of months.

Interesting article, basically Pandora's box is smashed and in pieces on the floor. I'm not sure if the new strains will need new or additional tests or be able to be implemented into one test or be picked up by the current tests. From an investor point of view though to me it confirms that this is a new industry and not a short term money spinner for the companies we are investing in today.

NCYT is a labtest, so tests are sent away to lab and results returned. I am not in NCYT as I see the future here and AVCT, both GDR and AVCT are point of care, so get results while you wait. AVCT a bit quicker obviously. The way I see it is AVCT will be developed countries and GDR everywhere else. With small crossovers in some sectors, airports etc.

Clear and obvious advantages to both:

This test is cheaper and much smaller per unit to produce and ship than the AVCT test.

AVCT test does not need any specialist equipment to use it.

Both tests required for mass worldwide screening.

There's a pretty strong case to say we are undervalued based on the hearing test alone. If the current trial goes to plan and it is rolled out across the NHS the revenues could be £4-£5mil from the uk alone(and save the NHS £5mil a year). The fact we now have Inspiration Healthcare on board opens up great worldwide sales and distribution channels.

The test saves some premature babies developing life long hearing problems and saves health services millions in treatments so it should be a hot seller. So assuming we could sell just 10 times the UK numbers to the world market we could be looking at £40-£50mil in revenues. Lets say 20% of that is profit (£10mil), a fair P/E for the sector of 20 would put us at a MCAP of £200mil on this 1 test alone!

Where it gets really exciting is that Genedrives plan and expectation is that similar tests could be used to prevent strokes and other diseases which can be rolled out quickly now the hearing test as acted as a kind of proof of conecpt. So we could be looking at multiple tests, multiple markets within a couple of years. So the potential here is huge on the non covid pipeline alone.

The possibility is that everybody would be given similar tests in their 40's and 50's to screen individuals who's health would impacted by the use of certain drugs.

Obviously the Covid stuff is whats driving us up but to me it seems underpinned by real potential in Genedrives core products. I am confident of big gains here and think we will see strong news flow of sales and contract wins over the next couple of years.

All that without even factoring in the coronavirus. Buy and hold IMO.

Would love to see a dividend here. Mine would just be instantly reinvested anyway. even a yield of 3 or 4% would help people see the quality here. Not many aim companies cash positive with no debt and virtually zero risk of dilution.

Maybe, but normally btc gains 7% we might get 5%, up 20% at min so maybe something more. Either way while both are on the up its all good here.

I think GDR has been in the shadow of AVCT, on the face of it their test will be simpler, easier to use and not require any specialist knowledge or equipment to use. The reason the share price here took a hit yesterday imo is because AVCT RNS'd that they maybe ready to launch their test sooner than expected and I don't think most people realize GDR and AVCT are operating in entirely different spaces.

It seems to me the GDR test will be much cheaper to produce and maybe more importantly much cheaper to ship, if you image search "single PCR bead" you will see you can hold a 100 of these tests between your finger and thumb. So you can probably fit 50 of these tests in the space of 2 AVCT tests. when you need to millions of something that matters!

I am invested in both companies and think both will be massive gains from here.

I was in (and still am in) AVCT when we announced our deal with Cytiva we did 80% in the day there and 40% the next, from a similar MCAP to where we are here today. Should see a couple of big rises here today and tomorrow and steady for rest of week. This is great news and the test is operating in a different area to AVCT, so no conflict of interest for those who hold either or both shares. Good times.

It seems quite possible. Read the Moderna Therapeutics section on page 16 of the M.McNulty report, it starts "In May 2015, Avacta entered into a collaboration, licensing and option agreement with Moderna Therapeutics."

There is a good chance the virus will mutate year on year, like the flu. They are not going to be able to produce and administer 7 billion vaccines a year. Testing will be here long term. We will all be taking these rapid tests at airports in the workplace and and public gatherings for the rest of our lives. They will become new, standard security checks. Mass community testing and contact tracing will be the future norm. IMO.

Great to see this moving. Crazy undervalued. Would look cheap at 10x these levels.
