Is that how it can take so long to finalise a simple export deal. I have worked in large FTSE companies for many years and these deals simply take a few months especially if there is proactiveness from both sides. This lack of deal has now been going on for a considerable amount of time so surely there is something that is happening in the background?

I’ve been following MATD frequently since I sold out a few weeks ago and I do feel for you guys.

The warrant from the 50s has been unwarranted given no cobwebs in the recent RNS so it’s just due to market sentiment. Look at Lloyds, OSB, CBG, etc.

@PUTUP - I agree with your thoughts too but we all know that they will prioritise orders for the large buyers. Why wouldn't you if you know you're getting a decent commission for it. However, it is highly regulated so these orders go undetected.

Given that the trading update is out of the way now, the only way is up.

MMs are market makers like Peel Hunt. The companies that buy and sell shares, the middle men. If you have level 2, you will see them on the L2 data.

In simple terms, imagine you’re a large fund looking it to buy shares in a company but you dont want to pay over the odds. However, you know a market maker, and tell them that you would like to buy shares at this price. They will then drop the price day by day to get to the target price. This will cause nervous investors like you and I to panic snd sell our shares due to the decline in SP. Once the market makers have collected the required number of shares, they will then sell them on to the large funds.

Hopefully, then over time the SP will increase.

Because large funds like Harwood Capital have already instructed market markers they are interested in buying shares but at a certain price. Hence the MMs will drop the price so that nervous PIs can sell them which will then be sold to funds at bottom prices like this.

However, this is also supported by a new short opening this week.

Bodes well though that funds are buying into Vanquis.
