I'm sorry to hear that, hoping your fortunes turnabout. I'm out of most of the riskier miners I was in earlier this year, the likes of SRES, KEFI, HMB and steering clear of oil shares for the moment, dodged a major bullet with MXP. I'm sure people will make money from them in a couple of months time, but best to cling to capital and ride out the rough times and invest once the tide turns if you get my 'drift'. I completely agree about the financing issues and sadly many pi's from what i've read completely disregard this factor when it comes to making an investment decision - ECR being one of those dilutionary monsters!
There are plenty of shares that appear cheap but just keep falling, RGM and BMR are two i've been drawn into and sitting a loss right now. If you are switching to oilies stick with the popular bb boards like GKP, XEL, RKH etc. There are some knowledgable posters out there.
Condor Gold is the leanest fish in this market, I've yet to see a stock offering better value with lower risk. The key to our success is now having access to the UK and Canadian markets as seen in the most recent placing, which was conducted to institutional investors only at a fractional discount. 1.6moz targetting 2moz year end, exceeds all targets to 2.4moz and this is based mainly on the La India concession.
We are due a PEA this month which will outline economic scenarios including the NPV. I've worked a few calculations (see my post from Nov 10 with link) if you're interested. Plenty of value still left in that one mate even if you're only after a 20-25% return.
Got WRES on the watch-list, are you well researched with that one? WLFE and WRES do look good resource value plays but not sure what catalyst will cause a sudden interest in the share price in either. Like so many AIM shares, resources are not properly valued in current climate (BMR, BHR, BAO).
Producers or stocks in favour look good from here, check out POG and recent chart activity. Factor in a rising FTSE and price of gold (which will impact quarterly sales) and should see a nice return there if you've got spare cash. As always good luck mate and watching here with interest :)
