Top Slicing. Taking the cream off the top if you like whilst still keep some skin in the game.
Straight from Google:
Top slicing means you would exit 70 or 80 percent of your trade at $180 then leave the remaining 20 or 30 percent of your capital in the market ready to capture any remaining upside. The beauty of this approach is that you bank some profits but still have the chance to run the trade a little longer.

Clearly you need to work out your own profit margins

I did the same with my KEFI shares so to tide me over Christmas without using my current account.

I'm sure you've been here long enough to witness the spike in the SP back in October 2020 only to see it fall down to where we are now.
Apparently, some PIs have done exactly that which I find somewhat troubling.
I will say that I am considering top slicing, but I'll wait for the US Markets to open up. They will most probably fck it up for us but hey what we gonna do?
