realnetworks will be reporting its final quarter and full year figures on the 10th feb.whether it will give any interesting detail for napster for part of that period i don't know,but presumably it will have to give details of some sort.there will be a conference call also so possible worth a listen.if you don't get it live you can get it on repeat.

agree keith .wouldnt pay the slightest attention to it. i don't imagine many ceos of successful companies are easygoing ,all tolerating, tree huggers.anyone familiar with rob glaser's reputation might possibly regard the glassdoor review as positively eulogistic in comparison!

thank you oddy.certainly feels we are approaching a very critical stage. 6/7 months or so since ema data package submitted ,so reasonable to expect can update fairly soon and the FDA meeting i scheduled for feb although no date has been given.

agree with the volume point bunco.we may perhaps get some very delayed trades reported,but on the face of it the volume is barely registrable.

interesting post Professor. good to hear from you.i hope you have been keeping well in these difficult times.there are some very concerning developments and movements going on today which few if any could have predicted 10 or 20 years ago. i'm of an age where the impact for me is now mostly vicarious, on my children and grandchildren, but no less concerning for that. agree entirely with your thoughts re the chinese trend, which i suspect will only continue to grow in strength.

for anyone interested its worth having a look at the link to one of the co authors,Kai-Fu Lee.pretty impressive cv.i have to confess its better than mine lol.on a serious note not making too much of it but it is impressive and adds to my view that this is an area which may prove more than a rich mans vanity project.no doubt i shall be proved wrong in spectacular fashion i expect.

morning all.yes volume is a bit higher than usual ,but looking at the trading range (0.185-0.20) there doesn't seem to have been much of a pump or dump really. im not too worried about the profit warning as my recollection is that it doesn't really move the needle much.just going on memory and not empirical data so could well be wrong. i imagine most LTHs realise its largely to do with amortisation.that said we will no doubt have the usual lack of income versus outgoing expenditure,so it won't be pretty and always makes for uncomfortable reading.not too worried about market correction,as regent seems to plough its own furrow to a large extent.again personal observation,no data ,so could be wrong here also.i agree bignose that i don't expect s/p to fall too far from present level as a number of potentially positive things on the horizon.let us hope that this time they move from the horizon to the foreground!

MG85 purely anecdotal observation,not based on researched figures etc and so happy to be corrected by verifiable facts, but I've not really observed many, if any,really large sells or daily volume for a while.it seems to me its mostly small and what might be considered medium sized trades ,more representative of PIs than IIs. it would be understandable bearing in mind the continuing s/p decline and the obvious view of some that everything is taking too long ( a view which i understand but frankly regard as ridiculous), if pis with a short term mind set and looking for opportunities elsewhere,may well have been losing patience and selling up.suspect it is not IIs or substantial holders though. perfectly happy to see evidence to the contrary though.

mildly interesting that we have the new market maker, Marex on here .ive had a quick check of some of my other stocks on aim and cannot see them,although clearly they will be in numerous others i imagine.nothing significant really ,just thought it might be worth a mention.

also KoK napster generated over$100m in revenue in the last full financial year.ok virtually no profit and they may well faileach to their own opinion of course. to achieve that level for a couple of years ,due to disruption ,the need to integrate the differing systems and the upgrading which is being undertaken,but it seems a little extreme to describe a company which has capacity to produce annual revenue in excess of its current M/C as dead in the water.
