afternoon bignose.i expect you spotted the slight variation in wording in the announcement,in that it refers to discharging some of the galloway loans and some or all of the convertibles.perhaps they only intend to pay down part of galloway,but still won't leave much will it?

yes the current premium is much more attractive at this level than that of a few months ago.of course there is a lot of cash there now ,but overall a good move in the right direction,imo

morning bignose.perfectly possible.if i have understood it correctly,the mandate is required because if they sold the lot it would exceed 25%of m/c(this may not be precisely accurate as an analysis,but it's some thing like that.) no mandate was necessary for the previous sale,as it was not of that order,so clearly they re contemplating a sale of the lot. i don't buy the common form disclaimer that there is nothing specific in contemplation,as it depends on what you mean by contemplation and i think that is a moveable feast.so my take is that they will sell the lot as soon as the s/p hits the trigger figure and it is entirely possible that there are some developments on the horizon which have put this in train.even if it were a takeover they might want the flexibility to sell(trade sale to 3rd party) if it involved equity for equity ,as ERP might just want the cash.all conjecture of course.

the fact that polx machines were being used for research was frequently cited to support the likelihood of a favourable FDA outcome,which seemed a perfectly reasonable view.however, the outcome (so far)has not been favourable,so personally i wouldn't draw any favourable inferences from the latest news, even if polx are involved. surely it's just carrying on from the previous news in this area.just my opinion and for clarity i'm not currently invested.

apologies for the somewhat self indulgent rant earlier.very hard to read some of the phraseology without exploding. anyway couple of points. in the interims it showed converible notes of 2,128,000 ASD and shareholder loans of 10,282,000 asd. dont know how these are made up.does it mean that the galloway figure is in addition(i.e. new) or is it represented in part by the interim figures?

the value of 3.25 asd for a DVP share represents an 8.3 % increase over today's closing of 3.00 asd, so not too great a hurdle.

afternoon bignose.agree with your thoughts re lack of imminent license.appreciate the irony of detailing the numerous perceived value enhancing achievements of dvp ,whilst at the same time announcing an intention to sell if the opportunity arises.i appreciate it's being sold as being prepared in advance,but hard to believe there isn't something in the offing ,given the reference to the galloway loan.looks like mellon want to pay himself back. on one level its probably not a bad thing,as it will free jamie up from the onerous burden of actively managing the investment(lol) so he can devote his time to commercialising the deep longevity ageing clocks!seriously it is becoming very difficult to read this tosh, without getting really angry. im happy to accept the consequences of my own investment decisions, but i don't enjoy being reminded of the spin they have put on the majority of their actions and ambitions over many years. my own fault of course,for giving some of it credence. good question re the galloway loans.
