The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
@T4G - I beleive you and sadly can recall when DEB's was a Plc folk on the BB used to say exactly the same thing - web traffic was amazingly high. Conversion rates were equally poor.
Not long to wait to find out. I exited here at 38p a while back having followed Oke' here at 33-35p. Bought a few back of the 150k I held but more as a punt. It might surpise to the upside but in a world of 10% inflation going backwards by the same amount is pretty awful. The destocking to mask cashflow/debt will wash through as well so all in all I am expecting a fall.
I am very doubtful Debenhams will assist BOO now or indeed the future.
The Crow fam' and a sizeable few of the flock were regular spenders with the old DEB's, their current view of their clothes offer is borderline unprintable. The wider range of goods on offer can be sourced elsewhere for less. The franchisees in the ME were always a sideshow for the old DEB's and will I suspect remain so.
Truth be told our Mancunian chums have made a hash of DEB's purchase making the products look and feel the same as BOO's wider range of tat. I for one do not expect recovery from this division. Truth be told BOO need to make and sell clothes that are size predictable and consistent in quality and attraction to the website images to staunch their horrific return rates. They might have a chance then.
Hereshopin - You really are tragic. Always crafting a narrative to hide behind with insults to boot.
See you at 40p. Then I will come to gloat at you personally.
@Citypie - I have an opinion and this BB allows it to be shared. You will recall I stated when I sold up 170,000 of these bad boys. Had it gone higher I would have looked foolish as it was the form book called this correctly.
Not gloating in anyway merely balance to the endless wishful thinking on here ranging from MM trips to the ME to Goldenshares to even whats in the freezers of Iceland. It really has been an endless stream of nonsense.
Anyone who challenges the cultist on here is abused when in truth they should at least be heard fairly.
I am more grateful than anything else currently and fully expect this to converge with BOO sp wise in the near term. Both companies I beleive are destined to fail ultimately - naturally there will be opps to profit but the end will be the same.
Neatly put. Sadly THG does not smell right and I for one am glad I departed at over a pound.
This BB is exactly as Steveinhull states - an echo chamber for those who refuse to see the truth and that truth is IMO that THG is a house of cards led by a man whose ego vastly exceeds his ability. His key strength appears to have be parting the gullible from their money. The problem now being he has been rumbled and no one beleives a word he says.
Even at 69p this is a sell. If you hold then all you can hope for is another fake bid. Leave then or watch you investment here drain away as I beleive it surely will.
@Citypie. ISA 5% allows folk to sleep better than THG and plenty others.
As for resilience to the slings and arrows of the stock market peeps on here went from over a quid to low 30's in the space of a few weeks - leave aside those who bought the 'dream' at £4 plus.
The Group think here is the problem.
Constantly looking for positives including whats in the freezer section of Iceland whilst ignoring the perils.
Its like a religion on here.
At the start of the year the jam tommorow was the arrival of a 1bln whale for Ingenuity - that was the only prop in an otherwise dismal set of numbers.
Next set of results in May was preceeded by Apollo which never happened but stopped the sp cratering. Now and despite the MM spin on how things are going sooo well this.
Are the cultist THG fanboys going to see the light? THG is not the vehicle to place your hopes and dreams upon. Far too much time has been wasted already.
GLA.
Matt is a conman?
Not sure about that but his big dreams and skill at persuasion sure have been an expensive lesson here.
Even I was expecting better than this given the recent past. But then this is THG. Thank God for Apollo! The get out of jail card everyone on here should have grabbed.
I wish I had timed my 716k purchase so well. I had have quite a few more. Hey ho. Good to see but also dispels any faint hope the next RNS was Serco agrees puchase at 45p a share.............
Someone is clearly selling until that changes I regret this will continue to fall. The BOD could put a bit of a floor in the sp but seem unwilling.
"Pretty sure .....just guessing"
Pretty pointless more like it!
No other explanation IMO.
I strongly suspect there is a II seller behind these falls - nothing else would explain the drop in the sp. It is certainly not MM's trying to punish JL etc. Does not work that way.
Agreed re the BOD not buying but the house broker may well have advised them buying into a big seller would be pointless until they have departed. JL has bought big before.
All in all this is currently very disappointing but I share the belief things will get better. Afterall CPI is currently valued at below bust.
Takeover - I cannot help but think someone is looking at CPI with a TO in mind - sub £300m and all the heavy lifting done, certainly CPI has never looked weaker and susceptible to a low ball bid. 40 -45p would carry the day I suspect.
I beleive any third party claims are covered by insurance - not any fine nor the cost of fixing the hack itself but exactly these type of ambo' chasers.
Got to love CPI - or not. Personally I did not think the results were bad just more of the same. The sp today suggests we are heading for the knackers yard which we are not I have little doubt.
Wheres the bottom? 15p looks likely.
@Knowbodyyouknow - Hardly rear view - stated at the time nice and clearly and quite a lot of them 190k in total.
Your last para is the odd one btw. All of us are given precious time fortunately WFH allows me the opps to drop by here and go 'I told you so' and was flamed at the time by the same numpties on here spouting 'fud' shorter and cospiracy theories to make your brain hurt when the truth is this has some way to go downwards.
#Soz
Many of you are wishing you had headed that wise corvid The.Crowman when he extolled the virtue of banking a few quid when we were over a quid.
You can forgive yourselves and now must simply avergae down - suggest you start at around 75p but be prepared to have some cash for low 60's if it comes.
#HTH
Not the fake bids again cobblers. First and second were smokescreens to prop up the sp. The second one was very profitable for the Crow famm' and personally I am awaiting the third with baited beak but neither change the fact they were IMV entirely spurious - the first was a stalking horse for what was hoped for real bidders and the second a prop for a disasterous set of results that would have took THG to sub 30p.
Ahhh those bids............................
Anyone who dares to challenge the rampers is a troll? So what title should you have Onsolid' given you are currently ramper in chief?
Delusional?
