How much cash do they have? When simply using the value of their bitcoin holding I get 22x for COIN.....

COIN have 73 bitcoin worth £5.73m (with BTC at £78,500)

Market cap = £130m (372m shares x 35p)

Cel AI PLC (CLAI) announced that it has successfully raised gross proceeds of £10 million pursuant to a placing, conducted via an accelerated bookbuild process, and direct subscriptions, in each case at a price of 0.2p per share. The net proceeds of the Fundraising will be used to acquire BTC and fund ongoing operations, enhancing the Company’s capital allocation flexibility and providing a potential hedge against inflation, in line with the Company’s mission to integrate AI innovation with a robust Bitcoin treasury strategy.

Comment: What a great idea to raise £10m for a BTC strategy. I bet we all wished we had thought of that, and if we could have done it we would have.

Shares in Cel AI PLC (LSE:CLAI) fell 28% on Monday after the company announced a heavily discounted £10 million fundraising through a placing and direct subscriptions priced at 0.2p per share.

The deal will see the issue of 5 billion new shares, subject to shareholder approval, and was conducted via an accelerated bookbuild led by OAK Securities.

The new funds will be used to acquire Bitcoin and support ongoing operations, as part of Cel AI’s strategy to combine artificial intelligence innovation with a Bitcoin-focused treasury model.

The company said the proceeds would offer greater financial flexibility and act as a hedge against inflation. Despite the strategic aims, the steep discount to the prevailing share price before the announcement triggered a sharp sell-off.

Cel AI has promoted a dual thesis of digital asset accumulation and AI platform development since its listing, and said the latest capital raise would help advance both initiatives.

The stock fell 0.13p to 0.32p. However, that is still well above the notional share price post-funding, which should be 0.219p.

5.75 billion shares at 1p = market cap of £57.5m......about 5x cash.

If the shares open at 0.20 - 0.30 I can't see there being many sellers. Anyone here going to sell at 0.2p?! I would be amazed.

" £500,000 of the investment from OAK Securities will be advanced to the Company on or around the date of this announcement to enable an immediate acquisition of additional Bitcoin"

.....so they should get on with it right away and RNS it.

Hope so....or sooner......they know it's what investors and potential investors are waiting for. No idea how CLAI will open today but ready to add 2.5m here if/when they dip.

Good morning. Busy morning ahead. No bitcoin purchase or TAO subnet news, both will be positive updates when they come. RNS from TIR this morning confirms their Tiger Alpha royalties have risen to $7k per day and Tiger Beta goes live today; would like to see CLAI get some of that income ASAP.

It's a lot of shares....and a lot of money. We will have a smaller %..... but in a bigger company.
