Finton...@borough123 out of curiosity, which email address did you use to contact evraz? I've emailed the investor relations department a few times and had no response
also my experience....sent an email few days ago.......no reply
Ditto..............all details still showing on Computershare
I have also emailed the company secretary 4 hours ago, email seems to of been delivered...................basically asking for confirmation my bank details have been forwarded from Computershare
Will update when i hear from them.
Leister..........got to hand it to you, you have some stamina seems like you have been here since the year dot.
Lifestyle company keeping Nigel fed and watered....................this was recommended to me at 29p, seems a lifetime ago.........i bought at 9p at least 5 years ago , felt like a bargain at the time .
Time to buy methinks......
Just received the letter from evraz via a relative in the UK.....I now see my SRN on the evraz letter.....will do as they say and register with investorcenter.co.uk......thats if I can drag my @rse off the beach of course.......
Yeah......ok it's imminent......so what's the point in registering with computershare......why not wait until the 20th and go with evraz direct?
Also anyone managed to enter a non UK bank account when they give evraz account details?.......I still waiting on the welcome letter from evraz.
ct10.....what does computershare have to do with shares now
I was wondering that myself since Evraz have taken over the registry
typo.............from Interactive Investor
Just received my paper cert for Interactive Investor, can someone tell me where the Shareholder Reference Number is located?......all i can see is a 8 digit number 4 zeros and 4 more numbers........i thought the SRN is an eleven digit number?
Also whats the next step?.....await a letter from Evraz for me to complete with bank details ?.....i ask because i/m sure i read somewhere on the board that someone had registered theirs at computershare..........
TIA
EW..........Not taken for being Russian, but taken for being suspected - and in many cases verifiably close - associates of Putin.
Sorry but this doesn't hold any water with me...............how can you be held responsible for another's actions simply because you know them?
The prisons would be full if it was the case.
thecouchman................Same here
If you want to raise money, have liquid shares and be correctly valued then you need to be on a 'proper' exchange and behave as a responsible, audited, believable company.
Then and only then can you be persecuted..................right?
MBJ.........Uk citizens might not be able to do business direct with Evraz but dividends can be paid to individuals registered on Evraz register and paid through an over sea’s account indirectly
These were my thoughts, divs paid into a non UK bank account, how will the govt ever know?............personally i couldnt care less about the UK Govt they have well and truly screwed Evraz investors, all this cr@p about protecting us ...........oh and what happened to Evraz selling steel for tanks? that soon disappeared and we were left with making railway wheels/lines what a load of tosh.
Put my request for paper into II today, secure message back 2-3 weeks to receive them
For me i can only see advantages with the paper option (mine are not in an ISA).........if Evraz trades again on the LSE all well and good, i/ll just convert them back to digital
If they relist elsewhere at least i have the certificates, something i will not have after the 18th..............thinking about using my Thai bank account (will have to check with evraz if its possible) for any future dividend payments
Other than the tax wrapper i can see no advantage of not converting to paper.
After reading the board for the past week i think i/ll opt for paper on Monday.
My thoughts are if Evraz ever commence trading on the LSE again all i will need to do is return the paper certs back to the broker (II in my case) and have them made digital again...............i will only lose the £42 fee to convert to paper
If they relist elsewhere then i must be better off having the paper certs than the shares being with the broker and unable to convert them to paper after the deadline
Or have i missed something?
LB221 quote
If Evraz can't service its debts its creditors will simply force an involuntary liquidation and administrators will be appointed to dismember the company and its businesses?
Can you dismember a company that is sanctioned?............is it not akin to doing business with said company in some way?..............
Had a reply from II............they say " If you are happy for me to proceed, please confirm the amount you wish to withdraw.".............this wording seems to infer i could only convert half into paper and leave half with II thereby hedging my bets.............reply is below
Any thoughts?
The shares are UK-based certificates therefore we would be able to deposit these into your account. As for other brokers, I could not comment as I do not know their policies.
Regarding the withdrawal as share certificates into paper form, we can facilitate this.
If you wish to withdraw your holding into a paper share certificate, we can do so for a charge of £42 (including VAT). The cost of which will be deducted from your cash balance. You would expect to receive the share certificate through the post in 2-3 weeks via recorded delivery.
If you are happy for me to proceed, please confirm the amount you wish to withdraw.
Not only for those with II (as i am) but is it possible to hedge your bets and convert half your holding to paper and leave the rest with the broker?...............apol's if it's a dumb question
Will send II the same question , see what they say
