They pay good money to these journalists for Sunday evening... kate.burgess@ft.com... They and others reckon Metro may still have to sell non-core assets or raise more equity to facilitate the expansion needed to take on the big high-street banks. 
Last week’s news was better for Metro. It has surmounted one Hill. There are many others ahead, though.
