But the share price has slowly drifted back to where it was prior to the Georgia because everyone knows they won’t win anything as it will never go to court, just as this don’t either.
Difference with this though is they are owed $1.5m and it now looks increasingly unlikely that they won’t get any of it, therefore their cash position is even more dire.
I suspect the Trinidad tax case is looming and they had hoped to get a placing away so Gu can sell some more salary shares

That is truly shocking 25% of the company’s cash balance just ignored and abandoned, albeit to their Chinese friends, but they’ll take on a government who have no links to the company in the hope of pumping the sp to allow mr Gu to offload his shares in lieu of salary.......poor form.....

TRINIDAD TAX APPEALS UPDATE

Star Phoenix (AIM: STA), an international company with oil and gas projects and oilfield service businesses in Trinidad and Indonesia, provides the following update in relation to the ongoing tax appeal matters that its Trinidad subsidiary Range Resources Trinidad Limited ("RRTL") is involved in.

Two of the appeals were heard by the Tax Appeal Board in Trinidad on 9 March 2020 and have now been set for trial on 26 and 27 May 2020. Two further tax appeal cases have been scheduled for hearing on 26 May 2020.

As previously announced, the total amount of all liabilities in dispute against RRTL (four tax appeal cases in total) is approximately US$4.9 million.

Oh yes another mess up in a litany of mess ups in the history of this company.
You cou I’d not make it up at least they don’t try and hide the fact they are fleecing investors now and milking it for all it is worth.....
Mind you with the upcoming tax case they don’t have much time left to drain the cash......

Unfortunately for said investor the £6.5k is only worth half the £17 now, the other £50k is worth £350.
One would have thought after that kind of destruction you would realise this has been a poor investment , apparently not......

There were a couple of sells over the past couple of days that were the same amount, the investor you mentioned last week, originally bought for £6.5k before he added another £50k to that investment.
The sales raised £9 and £8.

16 months have passed since the name change etc and there is still no update on where this business is heading.
Kerry still takes his $25k a month running a company that does nothing and pays his mates $13k a month for also doing nothing.
Meanwhile the Trinidad court case looms which could force STA into administration........

Playtime i think you are too kind in your assessments of this company. They have been much worse than describe and supported by several posters whose behaviour online is almost as bad as the company.
I agree there will be lots of sellers who realise even their remaining investment is not worth retaining.
Even the asx didn’t want the fees from this shower if a company and kicked them off the exchange........

I went into the rrl thread by mistake and thought all the posts had disappeared overnight.......doh!

Seems a lot if threads have disappeared over night.
Makes research harder but not impossible.
Main issue thus year is the tax liabilty case in Trinidad where the government are suing STA for unpaid tax of $4.9m and sta’s attempt to have the case dismissed failed last year.
