The maximum money that can be diverted from dividend for BB is only 1/3 of the dividend for this year and 1/6 for 24/25 if dividends remain the same. Therefore with a 30% yield pausing the dividend for a year just to BB shares cannot be done.

The reason you won't engage is you cannot answer the questions I posed (as a result of your rebuttal of my post) is you have no rational or reasoned argument.

Here is another question that you will not answer.

How is it that my agenda "seems more political than investment focused", when all of the political comments I have made relate directly to how the politics affect DEC and vast majority of my post have nothing to do with politics?

However the question I would really like you to answer is why you believe you can tell people what they can't post on this forum when you are not a moderator, what gives you this special privilege.

Could not agree more, there are so many companies with innocent shareholders being forced to take huge losses to so governments can tick political boxes. Not only do I hold POLY but also BP and SHEL, BP had to give away £25bn and SHEL £5bn due to UK government policies and then got hit with a 75% EPL tax but obviously better off than POLY. The main benefactor of these policies is Russia who will end up getting a lot of great assets for virtually nothing, the other result is a closer links between Russia China, India and Iran all caused by our useless politicians.

I am really not surprised when people get irritable with you (I am), when you refuse to answer questions on statements you made which are rebuttal of other posts and state what can and cannot be posted on this forum.

It is nothing to do with posting history it is the quality of you posts, your lake of politeness, inability to engage when asked questions and telling people what subjects that cannot post on are the issue for me.

IMO it is reasonable to talk about politics here when it affects our investments but would not like to see this migrate to a general discussion and clog up the board.

If you like you can add to the answer on why on both of these Democrats announcements were shorts taken out just before.

Yes it is an investment forum on a company suffering from political ESG attacks so politics are now part of the mix even if you cannot understand something so basic. Don’t know where you have been for a number of years but politics play a larger part in O&G investments, ESG etc, take a look at EPL.

Please tell me who are you to tell me what I should do, do you think you are some kind of moderator deciding what is posted.

Sorry posted without the content.

With inflation falling, US presidential election latter this year, large Chinese Property companies going bankrupt and economies like Germany in recession (UK probably in recession but propped by massaging the GDP figures with immigration) I not only think that a rise interest rates is extremely unlikely I think it is very unlikely we will not see some significant falls in the interest rates this year. Even ignoring these factors the interest rate would have to rise to nearly 30% before BBs are not accretive. Even if rates do not go down the extra debt would be paid off in less than 3 years providing dividends remain the same. To put it another way for every $10s borrowed and spent on BB now you would end up with only $9.25s debt in one month time and $7s in 10 months, in less than 3 years DEC would save $3 per year for every $10 borrowed now (as borrowing now paid back) for as long as DEC is in existence, it is crazy not to BB at these levels, where else could you get these returns without risking a prison sentence.

At present the destiny of DEC is in the hands of the shorters and to some extent the ESG mob (which I include the Democrats). The shorters can be easily dealt with by a concerted BB, burn them once or perhaps twice and they will go off and look for another victim. The ESG lot are like a rash, the only thing DEC can do it keep pushing their ESG achievements but IMO this will not be over until the Democrats are gone. This is obviously political as Gas is the cleanest of the fossil fuels and I see no information on the US stopping future facilities for the export of coal, we have a clear intervention to disrupt the free running of a market dressed up as ESG.

All of the TU premium in the SP has now gone, for all of the BODs efforts, NY listing and updates the SP continues to slide. It is so clear that the the only way to stop this is a decent BB program (only thing that has worked so far), use borrowed money if necessary as the saving in the dividends will over 3 times more than the cost of borrowing. Without this DEC the shorters will burn the investors but I want DEC give a clear message with BB to burn the shorters.

Glencore is a good trading stock, no stamp duty, small spread and very liquid. Also take a look at Camerco, I would buy in NYSE as cheaper fees than in buying in Canada, NYSE:CCJ, moves a lot with uranium price which is generally on the way up. I use Wistomtree for gold and YellowCake, YCA for Uranium as no stamp duty, Wistomtree is a pure play on gold but seems to move on Cable a lot more than Gold at times, YCA is a play on Uranium but also depends on is Discount/Premium, used to be 0% to 5% discount but now in the range 14% - 17% discount. Obviously plenty of others but these are the ones I have looked/traded recently.

have dec just ****ed up, did not read the market or the political esg situation and went into the tanos acquisition leaving very little cash for bb when other o&g companies like shell, bp and many more saw this coming and put by huge sums by for bbs to counteract the esg selling? dread to thing what dec could buy tanso for now.

is in a conspiracy, sp falls to about 90p around the time all other high yielding shares are falling especially ones with high debt. then for no apparent reason dec sp goes into a major slide making dec look like a dividend trap trap (telegraph recently has dec on the top of the list for dividend traps, https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/investing/stocks-shares/dividend-stocks-buy-and-avoid/). to help counteract this a ny listing was taken out. one day before dec is shorted by a company that had no shorts for 3 years followed by a democrat probe on the day of the listing. a month or so later a large shorting attack happens closely followed by biden’s gas announcement made to so call reduce co2. interesting gas is by far the lease co2 emitting of the fossil fuels yet gas is under attack while coal and oil are still being exported from the us. hh has been very low for a time are there a group of investors who saw this coming, just by luck or did they know something that was only just announced. is there more to come from the democrats?

This is short term measure to appease the ESG lot and keep prices lower for US which is something I have been concerned about for a time. So a win win for Biden short term which is what he is after in help for reelection.

However may look good for ESG on the surface but if it pushes up world gas prices good for my Glencore shares (up on Friday after the announcement) as coal will increase in price so more coal burnt bad for ESG and perhaps good for my Uranium investment. Also makes more countries dependent on Russia and Middle east states so bad for western world and another policy of shooting yourself in the foot.

Also only a matter of time before US produces reduce the amount of nat gas produced, some produces going bankrupt more well retirements/abandoned wells etc because it it uneconomic and will reduce the money coming into the US. You can manipulate the market for a time but it will always find its own level.

Short term measure for short term policeable gain , Biden at his best.

You would think the democrats have some sort of interest in crashing DEC SP for the shorters, all a coincidence that the short attack was one day before the democrat probe and after that goes quite now this. Given Bidens mental state is an easy target for those close to him to pursued him to do their bidding to help their shorts.

Like him or loth him we need Trump for some common sense and stability and perhaps even some honesty, can't believe I said that, but follow the recent evidence. Add on Biden's and his family Ukraine connection and all it stinks.

This is like asking how long is a piece of string. It depends on many things, the biggest factor is the price of gas, do you use the current price, 1 year future, 2 year future etc. which is also influenced by politics. Will a future US leader try to prevent gas leaving the country to keep prices down or will they want to see cash coming into the country and use it as a tool against Russia. Running costs, today’s running costs or future running costs. Is there a chance new technology could extract more gas or at a cheaper price. Can these wells be used for CO2 storage.

I guess you could work out the situation as it currently stands but what is the point, it changes daily with the price of gas and why plug a well now just because it is not commercially viable when there is a high chance this will change. As long as DEC meets its leek and retirement obligations and has enough resources to plug the wells in the future there should not be a problem. If Trump gets in next time round we can forget about this for 4 years by which time the dividends should have paid us back more than the current SP.

This is what happens when the FCA are more interested in ESG and diversity than fraud and protecting investors.
