Remember Buick? Yes, it’s still alive, but it’s not doing so well. Nowadays, you can gain the title of aficionado by merely knowing the brand. Currently, Buick has only four models to offer to the U.S. market, namely the Envista, the Enclave, the Encore, and the Envision. If you haven't heard of these models, then fear not, you're not alone. In the U.S., Buick is barely subsisting on a 0.96 percent market share. Yet, despite the non-existent marketing and the complete lack of alluring options, the legacy automaker is seeing an improvement in sales.
Buick's current market share in the U.S. is only 0.76-percent, but despite the lack of marketing and attractive options, sales have increased by 100-percent since Q1 of 2022.
Buick could learn from the success of the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV, which offers advanced technology and a competitive price. With access to General Motors' Ultium Platform, Buick has the potential to introduce its own long-range, affordable SUV to the U.S. market.
Buick could benefit from incorporating General Motors' SuperCruise system, which ranks second in driving assist systems. The Equinox EV, along with other upcoming models, will have access to features such as automatic lane change, forward collision alert, and adaptive cruise control, enhancing its market value.
