Talking to someone from international High St retail this morning & they said been planning Black Friday instore promotions since March/April.

All the promotions, stock, marketing & promotion along with product placement & storage distribution etc. all now going in the bin. She said online a different system & now all going in the bin.
So I expect retail & hospitality, maybe airlines, holiday Cos to take a hit. Especially as talk of extension to ockdown beyond dec already.

If Paul does a great presentation, hopefully with some good news we could shine & stand out. Hopefully a lot of lockdown priced in already in the market though.

I met a Semiconductor global brand director recently & ended up telling him get in quick or be paying a lot more for SEE than Mobileye after my best SEE presentation for an hour & half.

Be nice to grtva few interested to get the best shareholder value through a M&A.

Sure I read somewhere a year or so ago that the take up for super cruise was about 60%? And recently CT6 owners said they wouldnt drive a car with out it in the future was 86% .

Anyhow it is what it is but impressive safety record.

One day someone will declare Volvo

Volvo Cars is working on new in-car solutions to help address intoxication and distraction in traffic, one of which is a Driver Monitoring Camera, which will be introduced on Volvo’s next generation SPA2 (Scalable Product Architecture) platform in 2022. The Driver Monitoring Camera, together with other sensors, will allow the car to intervene when a clearly intoxicated or distracted driver risks serious injury or death. This new system will keep track of the driver’s visual behaviour, (eye movements and control, pupil reactions, scanning behaviour), reaction times, and other driving control behaviours to monitor if the driver is engaged in driving. If the system detects a pattern of vision and attention impairment, (e.g. specific eye movements and eye closures), along with other serious loss of driving control, the car will then go through three phases of help.

The statement comes only a few days after General Motors showcased a pre-production version of the GMC Hummer EV. The brand’s first all-electric truck, the GMC Hummer revives the nameplate that was popular in the 1990s and 2000s as both a truck and SUV. Ford recently revealed that it would build a new factory to produce an electric version of the F-150, leaving FCA as the only Detroit-based giant without specific plans for such a truck.

As we get closer to the start of Mustang Mach-E deliveries, Ford has released more details about the electric car’s level 3 hands-free autonomous driving capability.


When first launching the Mustang Mach-E, Ford confirmed that Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology with Active Drive Assist will enable hands-free driving.

The technology is similar to GM’s Super Cruise. It is available only on pre-mapped highways and it relies on a driver-facing camera to make sure that the driver stays attentive.

An enhanced version of the Super Cruise1 driver assistance feature will be introduced starting on the 2021 Cadillac CT5 and CT4 and followed by the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Among the enhancements will be automated lane change functionality, which will allow the hands-free system to change lanes on compatible highways when requested by the driver and certain conditions are met.

“This is our most extensive update we’ve made to Super Cruise since its debut,” said Mario Maiorana, Super Cruise chief engineer. “We have made a number of improvements to make Super Cruise more intuitive, better performing and more accessible for our customers. In addition to the automated lane change functionality, we’ve made improvements to the user interface and hands-free driving dynamics.”

The enhancements to Super Cruise were made possible by General Motors’ all-new digital vehicle platform, which provides more electrical bandwidth and data processing power.

You cant have Companies like Emirates & L3 pushing/talking about our tech like they do without deals on the side cabinet. Once one of them drops then an upgrade has to come.

After all thats going on last few months I would think not. Not being the house broker though & the history we dont know how much info is gathered sat around a conference call with SEE. So I would expect his note to be cautious based on he wouldnt know the same as Cenkos or Stifel. So i take it as a positive.

If we have a great presentation followed by broker notes from the 2 house brokers, I would hope that both upgrade their target prices.

You cant really have no value in aviation or fleet if Paul pulls out a $20 million license deal in either leg of the business that unbelievably has no value in. And that's without considering the data that fleet collects that ultimately makes us the best auto DMS in the real World.

As Ive heard loads times we all know real live data in 2020 has a value.

Safety regulations
Technological advances that take cars from ‘driver-assisted’ to ‘fully automated’ may be headline catching, but for any kind of practical implementation, they must go hand-in-glove with safety legislation.

Currently, regulations are clear – drivers retain responsibility. They must remain with their hands on the wheel during semi-autonomous or highly-assisted driving and will be issued with a warning every 15 seconds if they lapse.

But if a driver becomes wholly a passenger, as is the case with fully-automated cars, what happens if something goes wrong? And how does the insurance industry manage the changing risks? This is a hotbed of contention.
