The Arriver™ stack will provide full NCAP ratings and include features like Automatic Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Glare Free High Beam, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist supported by state of the art deep learning based detection functions like full 3D vehicle detection, pedestrians, bicycles, motor cycles as well as traffic signs, traffic lights. On top of that it will enable innovative solutions for determining drive free space and challenging police restricted and road work scenarios.

The development uses the next generation of Arriver's Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), which is up to 100 time more powerful than the current generation and will allow for the higher accuracy necessary for Level 3 applications and beyond, when the car takes over responsibility for the driver.

ADAS Tech: Super Cruise

General Motors’ chief electric vehicle officer, Travis Hester, debuted the automaker’s latest advanced driver assistance system—Super Cruise.

Super Cruise, more complex than standard cruise control, functions using a driver attention system to monitor a driver’s behavior and level of attentiveness. Super Cruise functions using sensors outside the vehicle to maintain appropriate speeds, but also inside the vehicle to safeguard the driver.

Hester said by 2023 Super Cruise will be available in 22 different GM vehicles.

Consumer electronics companies are shifting gears to the automotive industry

With the automotive industry increasingly moving towards electric and autonomous vehicles, it presents an enormous opportunity for traditional tech companies.

Panasonic has quickly cementied itself as the world's leading automotive battery supplier. Panasonic spent the majority of its CES press conference talking about how its batteries and electric motors would be making their way to more automotive partners.

Similarly Samsung announced a partnership with BMW to create the first car with a 5G modem, and LG is bring its webOS software to in-vehicle infotainment systems.

But the most dramatic sales pitch came from Sony who debuted a fully fledged concept electric vehicle using the company's core technologies in camera sensors and entertainment. Called 'Vision-S', the car's dashboard consists of expansive screens that stretch across the driver and passenger side, powered by a slick user interface developed by Sony.

flight crews to the effects of a performance increasing shear;

(i) Flight crew training has initiated a project to enhance scanning techniques
using “Seeing Machines” and eye tracking functionality;
(j) The Operator is evaluating the display of the evacuation checklist on the control
wheel chart holder;
(k) Following the Operator’s internal investigation recommendations, the Operator
has introduced evacuations with winds adversely impacting slides in training
courses;

Its something ive been asking for a while. Communicated a year ago with NHTSB guy about ****pits. Asked a few others if its on the cards? Ive been watching some crash investigations recently to see how many times eye tracking would of helped solved the mystery of a crash. Comes up all the time.

Working with L3 they are keen to introduce Eye tracking from SEE into many applications. Upping the data on their CVRs

Emirates are aware of Seeing and SEE have appeared as a recommendation in an accident report. Will put it on next post.
