If the UK leaves the EU,many companies will move elsewhere and shed their UK workers,everything will get more expensive,reducing money available for mortgage payments.Builders will be one of the worst sectors to come under intense pressure to sell their product at a sensible price.

Steph....maybe current SPs are anticipating little or no EPS growth for a few years.Current SPs are not really underpinned by past performance,but more on what is expected in future.HPI needs to be minimal for a few years to restore affordability to more comfortable levels.If homebuilders can maintain current EPS through this periodic adjustment,they will be doing very well and so will shareholders who are accessing stock at current levels.The risk at the moment though is that we may see some EPS contraction until the market reignites,but peoples earnings need to rise faster than HPI until that happens.
