I’ll agree to disagree. The short term SP can move for a number of reasons. If the company starts to produce positive cashflow then it’ll move in line with those cash flows. Now if you don’t think they’ll ever make money then that’s a different story.

We’ve seen a massive positive change in recent months. A very accommodating government and local community. The historic issues are in the past now. But everyone needs to make their own mind up. A massive re rate is coming imo

My gut feeling is the Mongolians have been shocked by zero interest in their new blocks. 100% of nothing is nothing. They need foreign investment. And the PSC will be redrafted on more favourable terms imo.

We have over $120 million of recoverable back costs. And the $4 million cost of every new well. And the running costs. I’d imagine we can recover these costs first before any tax. I also think the PSC may get re drafted to accommodate feeding the refinery.

Using the 25k per day example, we wouldn’t pay much until the first circa $200 million had been made(which we’d keep). Then you’d pay on the bottom line not the top. This matters hugely to any future cashflow calculation.

25k barrels per day at $75 oil is $685million revenue generated.

Net to us, circa $400 million per year.

Unfortunately your hypothesis is based upon heron 1/2 not producing cashflow. So it’s purposely negative.

But who’s really surprised looking at your posting history 😂

1000 barrels at the current oil price is circa $30 million per year. 0% income tax. 5% royalty rate. Inland oil exploration is very cheap and profitable.

If heron 1/2 produces a conservative 1000 barrels per day combined you can see how further herons can be drilled even at the inflated $4 million estimate

In that scenario, Heron1 and 2 will be generating cashflow. So there’s a hole in your hypothesis

You raise a very interesting point. Until we have an RNS, we don’t know. But we have seen a map with 15 wells on in block 20. As it stands, if we work on $4 per well, we’d need a JV to “fast track” maybe 8-10 wells in 2025. Funding an expansion of our resource from heron1/2 will take longer obviously.

I personally think an agreement between PC and PM is likely.

I think we’ll give up equity in return for their drilling services via DQE. but I take your point re keeping 100% of the licence. The deal must make sense for shareholders here.
