The RNS of 18.7.18 confirmed it was the latter, presumably they have plans to use it though, whether they have to RNS as and when they do, I've no idea. It can only be used in relation to operations in Morocco so perhaps the cash they have is earmarked for operations in Egypt, pure guesswork on my part. As long as it's used wisely, and I've no reason to doubt it will be, that'll do for me.

Absolutely, use any cash to fund growth, the SP will reflect true value at some point, no need for buybacks or divis at this stage. Looking forward to Tuesday's numbers. It's nice to see us back nearer the 60's than the 40's, only wish I'd topped up when we hit 51p (ish) around 10 days ago!

Signal - I think your point about being able to understand finance etc is a little flawed. I have been investing for around 25 years. For the first 10 years I used investment funds, ie unit trusts etc. I did this because I thought, they're the experts who do this for a living and will be better at research etc and therefore get me bigger returns. Guess what, since I switched to doing it myself, I've found that I make more than I ever did paying the finance companies to do it for me. I don't know how many of the businesses I have invested in over the years fully operate but there's lots of information available, and BBs' are a part of that 'research' that has come in handy on numerous occasions. It is very easy to tell rampers apart from genuine people who believe in what they have invested in and I am comfortable that the main 'crew' on here are genuine. Of course it doesn't mean they are right and I've not parked money in Kibo solely on what they say but it is a very valued and useful forum to find out stuff I didn't know. Here's hoping I'm right about Kibo, but if I'm wrong, I'll live to fight many other days, using the returns from other great investment decisions I've made in the past. My final point on financiers not knowing everything, do you remember the credit crunch? how many of the experts saw that coming?! All the best

That sentence made me laugh out loud yaki! I have no problem with people offering different opinions but Lurpak (I'm deliberately buttering him up) talks as if he knows how this is all going to play out, the numbers that sit behind everything etc, and that simply can't be true. Only those privy to negotiations know the 'numbers' here. Lets see how it plays out and if/when MCPP is 'signed off' if the SP goes ballistic, perhaps those that say otherwise will post here, offering congratulations and admitting they were wrong and if not, I will happily doff my cap to their superior being!

but having read this morning's RNS several times, and like many, initially underwhelmed that there appeared to be yet another hoop to jump through before the PPA could be issued, the RNS actually seems to separate the water permits issue from the PPA as paragraph 4 starts with the word, 'Separately'. I may be wrong about this but I'm now less perturbed as I think the water permits is just part of what is required to get the MCPP built. It's this part of the RNS along with the use of the word 'separately' that leads me to this conclusion, 'Permanent water permits will be issued following completion of the construction and implementation of all necessary water infrastructure that will be required to meet the water needs of the Mbeya Power Plant and Mbeya Coal Mine.' Anyways, PPA will come when it comes but I can't see why all parties would waste so much time, and presumably money, pontificating if the MCPP wasn't going to happen. Still holding and awaiting the 'monster' RNS to land and now back to sleep.....

Isn't it nice not to have to look through your fingers at the SP today? I must admit, the last few days have been very unnerving as you start to think there's 'no smoke without fire' and there must be a reasons why the SP is off around 20% in the last 3/4 weeks....

It's purely a commitment well so wouldn't be drilling it otherwise - whichever way it goes it should have little impact on the SP as I think SDXs' share is around 12.5% from memory? Still wondering why PW has been so uncharacteristically quiet of late? I think something is happening in the background but no idea what!
