According to Shanta website, JL already held 26,341,579 (3.1% of the shares in issue prior to last week's placing) so he's increased his holding by 2,623,349 shares (now holds 2.78% of the shares in issue post last weeks' placing). So he's not taken a position in 'one swallow' as suggested earlier unless I'm reading it wrong. Could do with Shanta updating their website to show the current state of affairs wrt major holders so we can see exactly who's who and who's got what but expect it will take them a little while yet to tidy things up.

I can't get a live quote for even 100k (shares) to buy but they're offering 8.51p to sell the same size. Yet there's buying going through at 8.7 which all the advertised trades seem to be today but the buy price is lower than yesterday. Difficult to second guess what's going on in the background but I firmly believe that the current entry price will prove profitable in the next 12-24 months (hopefully sooner if AK announces some of those promised new gas customers!) atb

There's a big difference between something being 'stated' and something being 'established'.

My broker was showing 8.5 v 8.86 to trade but when I've just done a live price it was 8.9 to sell v 9.2 to buy. If I can get a top up below 9p, I'll take it. At some point this has to sprout north!

Spread much narrower in reality than advertised (but still quite wide) at 8.91 v 9.5

All this sniping & bickering and that's with a rising share price, heaven forbid what the board would look like if the SP falls! Seriously, please just accept that some of you have very different opinions on the end game here and put that to one side. Surely just concentrating constructively on what this company is currently doing ie drilling, proving up assets, and celebrating that the SP has performed brilliantly recently etc is the way to go?

Cheers CD, like I said, I'm probably over thinking it! If PoG goes to some of the higher end estimates, I dare to think what the economic/political landscape across the globe will look like. Riots in some places no doubt. If SOLG & SHG do as well as I think/hope, I'll have enough to build a decent sized moat around my castle! atb

My only concern with PoG going a lot higher is will the host countries try and nationalise the mines? I'm probably over thinking it but if it goes so high that it can help balance the countries books etc, might one of these governments try it on? I'm not sure what defence against something like that a company has but I do no, albeit very little, about what happened to Acacia in Tanzania. Solg doing well today so all good and I'm sure Shanta will be in the 20's soon
