This is not a situation where they are simply shorting a company that is overvalued - it is pretty clear that BMN is worth many times its current 60M valuation, even before you start factoring in future growth in and ownership of valuable assets in the VRFB sector.

Harchris - the largest Lithium-ion gigafactories have capacities of 20-25 GWh - so, yes, a couple of tens.

Typically one of these costs 3-5 Billion USD to build - so if you can get a VRFB plant that is, say 1/50th the size (400MWh) for only 1/200th the cost (20 Million USD) then you're already a factor of 4 up at a much, much lower scale. Economies of scale will kick in once you start building bigger so you may end up with VRFB production plants that cost only 1/10th or 1/20th the Capex of a similarly sized Lithium-ion factory, plus the difficulty of raising all that finance and scaling the industry is much reduced.

HarChris - out of curiosity is $18m enough to build much, or all of, a 330 MWh VRFB factory - if so then I'm amazed as this would be orders of magnitude less than Lithium-ion 'gigafactories'

what are the reasons behind these Vanadium price rises - and, is it the same as what caused the last big rise in 2017-2018 ?
