Unfortunately this board has been overrun by negative mouthpieces who are either mentally ill or working on a trading agenda. It did used to be a good place for exchanging thoughts or information to other investors.

Never 100% trust anyone on an anonymous forum but even more so here currently.

If they were to change the structure of the affimer they would have to go through safety and effectiveness testing and clinical trials once again which wouldnt be favourable right now. By far the best option is to ensure that the mutation hasn't altered the binding site of the affimer on the S protein although it may take some time to get access to samples.

It's a spectrum and we will never get forced vaccination. I have explained to my relative that they are a walking risk to anyone they may come across who is immunocompromised or otherwise unable to raise a significant immune response to the virus but they don't care. It's ultimately very selfish in my opinion.

I have a family member who is refusing the vaccine despite my efforts of describing how the data is overwhelmingly supportive of vaccines they are determined that they haven't been tested properly and are far too big a risk to take. This person smokes more than 20 a day and their thought process is utterly baffling to me.

Unfortunately you can take the horse to water but can't make it drink. I'm still for compulsory vaccination to be honest as these people are not just risking their own health.

Another fair point. I'm certainly not of that viewpoint myself usually but last year was a pretty dark place and to be in eternal lockdown because of the local rates when that didn't happen elsewhere did start to mess with the old noggin. Nice to get your perspective and good luck with your investments.

Fair point. I'll just be horrified if we have to go through another regional wide lockdown because there's an outbreak in Bolton. Gov should have shut borders down to India much quicker

I dont disagree with you entirely bankruptbrit but it was certainly the case that when London was the epicentre of the epidemic in Britain at the start it was not treated anywhere near as harshly as Greater Manchester was subsequently. The tories don't dare screw with London.
