The SP and the volume issue, it irritates me too. MM games is not an excuse I buy. Simply put, all shares that are bought, are equal only to those that are sold. Buys and sells will always be the same.

If there is low demand for a share, whilst someone else is wanting to sell, the MM has little choice but to drop increase the spread down to a price that a buyer is willing to pay. Only when a price match is found does an execution get made. The opposite is also true when demand for a stock is high.

This price movement is characteristic of low demand, with exceptions being made only at lower than wished for prices. Without going into negative talk, the problem we see has its roots cause elsewhere.

Hi Schmoops. I'm not disputing anything that anyone has said, just trying to get to the bottom of where the 'lawyers' statement came from. If it's not AP, then it's pure speculation that possibly diverts from the truth. I hope it's not the case, but the evidence needs to be present before I shelve the question ;)

Indeed. I remember years ago, I was fired because I was unable to hit a set 'pick rate', and that was within weeks of starting...for minimum wage as well!

FAHP - Well, to AP, it was regarding the Investment Plan for BP, and the charge with SSGI. To Mercuria, it was only concerning the 'plan'.

How do I start my emails? ......Generally, I would start with something such as, "Dear Mr Prelea", or "To whoever it may concern".......is that odd? ;)

How long does AP, or someone else, usually take to respond to emails via the online 'contact' form? ....Bearing in mind it's the Xmas period.

I've also emailed Mercuria this morning, so I'll update the market shortly, once notification from either has been confirmed ;)

FAHP - If the scenario was positive, and the title had an amusing arrangement of words, I would also find that funny.....it's not just funny in my view because it's negative ;)

Anyways, I think we can both agree to let that issue pass under the bridge....that was a joke btw ;)

But on a serious note, although I said I'm expecting an RNS at 7am, and I was wrong, here's another way of looking at releasing an announcement....

Imagine a significant announcement released at 12-12:30, where nobody can buy shares due to the markets closing over the Xmas period, but during those closed days, the entire market has the opportunity to absorb how big the news is, only everyone has to wait until the market reopens just to join the bottleneck that has built up over that Xmas closure....can you imagine the legs that this stock could potentially obtain!!! ....how's that for negativity? ;)

FAHP - I'm choosing to stay out the arguement and keep my opinion to myself. But putting any reality aside, it was quite a humourous title to be fair...and I wasn't siding with either parties opinion when I said that btw ;)

ORT - Appreciated. And yes, my interest has kept me camped here for sometime now, and there are probably many, not so vocal folks, also waiting on the sidelines for the same reasons as I am ;)

Pepco - Cool. Inwhich case, Vast can only buy back the convertibles that Bergen haven't already converted, keeping in mind the timeframe you stated previously.
