Can someone please explain why the share price keeps drifting lower as I am genuinely struggling to understand? The only explanation I can come up with is manipulation!

NCC are currently sitting on a wad of cash with tender of shares, which is traditionally at a 15 to 30% premium, in the pipeline something is just not right imo. However, from the companies perspective as the share price drifts lower and lower they can buy back more shares.

Plea to NCC - let us know the price and date of tender asap and put us ordinary share holders out of our misery! Every extra day the value of our investment goes down.

Divi-Inv, I note once again that almost 3 times more buys than sells yet price still falling ..... 'curiouser and curiouser'. Speculating but is there a concern that Escode sale won't go through and until it does price will remain suppressed? Just a thought.

Brokers median share price ranges from 162p to 168p but share price still lags and shorts increase - do they know something we don't?

I think until the Escode sale goes through the share price, unfortunately, is going to tread water.

Sale of Escode business for £275 million to TDR on track for completion May/June hopefully.

Currently NCC including Escode is valued at £324M - a difference of £49M!!!

What am I missing- the remaining Cyber Security business, from which the vast majority of its revenue comes is therefore currently being valued at £49M!! Surely once the sale goes through this share will be re-rated and explode.

If my thinking is flawed please let me know as I have been topping up at these prices.

Taking a hammering today but with results in 7 weeks let's hope PGM's recover quickly and the market realises what a great, well run and highly profitable company SLP is. US dollar strengthening and inflation worries causing short term concerns - hopefully war in middle east is resolved quickly for both our sake as investors but more importantly for all the people of the region.

@16.15 Upward trend in pgm's continues- what's not to like. If they hold, even close to current prices, until Q3 then KAPOW!!! (Batman)

Certain amount of educated guess work involved but surely NCC is massively undervalued.

299m shares (with 10% buyback currently taking place not finished yet) leaves approx 270m. Hopefully approx £200m (escode sale) to be returned to share holders

£200m/270m = £0.74/share to be returned (May/June?)

Current price £1.35 - £0.74 leaves the Cyber Security company valued at £0.61/share!!!!! Surely at this price NCC is SUPER CHEAP!

Perhaps I am out of order but ...... struggling to find another share with anything close to the potential of SLP but don't want to put all my eggs in the one basket. Already, probably more than would be advised, have a high % of portfolio in Sylvania.

Would anyone have suggestion(s) of possible shares to consider? Aware that there are no guarantees attached and would do my own research before buying. Apologies if this request is a step to far.

LunaNera - many thanks for insightful post. With Q3 results projected for 23rd April and if PGM's hold close to current prices then share current share price should explode. No guarantees in this game but SLP is mighty close. (Thanks to all contributors on this board - all supportive of each other and very informative)

If American Supreme Court rule that tariffs are illegal resulting in $175 billion having to be repaid then effect on dollar/metal prices etc.... should be interesting

Mat...., Can I firstly thank you for taking the time to reply to my 'concerns'. I am 'trying to' base my share purchases on factual information and not be impulsive. Too often I am lead by my heart.

You mentioned that by your calculations 4e basket should be approx €3k for the upcoming quarter. Might I ask, as I am genuinely interested in learning, how you came up with this - I couldn't find online the average (pd, rh etc....) prices for previous 3 months v current 3 months.

Currently sitting on an average slp share price of £1.16 and considering doubling my holding at current price £1.05 - apologies but worried in case your calculations are optimistic and therefore wish to understand how you came up with them - please forgive my ignorance.

Do other forum posters agree with $3k basket price for next Q.

Slight concern but perhaps I am missing something.

If the average basket price for Q2 was $2374

am I wrong in saying that if prices continue to fluctuate between $2000 - $2200 for the next month or two then Q3 revenue will be lower regardless of slightly increased production?

Reading posted messages there seems to be a consensus that next quarter revenue is 'guaranteed' to be best ever. *I hope I'm wrong but my understanding is that price must be North of $2500 to see significant jump in revenue.

Mighty surprised at falling share price this afternoon! Took the opportunity to buy a few more @£1.22 - going to forget about for a few months and hopefully come back to a nice wee bonus. Happy dealing but remember the goal shouldn't be to make perfect decisions every time but to make less bad decisions.

Morning pj's, I agree that correlation between Platinum and share price are out of sync BUT ...... perhaps today we are at the start of a cycle where they do align. Platinum up 4%, share price up 4.5%

1 week rise in Platinum price is just shy of 20% yet Sylvania share price has barely moved. Due a BIG week ahead imo.

I'm not in a position Breakofdawn to give advice but lse are showing twice as many buys as sells today (but share price goes down?). I wonder if the big players are sitting on the sidelines until sale of Escode actually goes through? Interestingly TDR Capital have nothing on their own website about the purchase which seems strange to me! Anyhow, I bought some more and will await to see what unfolds in the next few months.

I realise the following summary simplifies many variables and factors which influence the value of the company but, in my opinion, it highlights how incredibly cheap NCC currently is.

Escode contributing 22% of revenue last year was sold for £275m therefore 1% = (275/22) £12.5m

Using this metric Cyber contributing 78% of revenue should be worth 78 x £12.5m = £975m!!!

Now, even if we half that valuation for multiple reasons the remaining business should be worth £500m.

£260m in the bank from sale with a large % of this being returned to shareholders/ 10% of shares about to bought back and delisted = An unbelievably cheap share (imo)
