The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Love the asset potential, but a shot over the bow is necessary. Voted no to POQ and options.
Too late for that. We ride that horse that brought us. Negative chatter does nothing but focus on the negative. When an offer comes, you can bash/cry/cheer/celebrate/ect. We all will react differently given the share price offered, and how we are all positioned. This constant "remove POQ" sentiment won't happen. Smile, and look forward to your return on investment.
It was up, then one sell of 230k right at closing drops us 7%. I don't believe that represents the value of our asset. You have no idea of who wants us, or is willing to compete. This stock price has never made sense. Amost $4 a share in 2006 when nothing was known or proven to be a commercial success. Here we sit 18 years later with real data proving incredible potential, and we are at 8 cents. This "I give up BS has us" mentality carries no water of truth. We have nothing yet from anyone. This isn't over, and all the stars are lining up for opposite. Will it be 50 cents? A dollar? 2 dollars? Not a single one of you have that answer. Smile.....the worst thing that could happen is we maybe we double our money. I can live with that given most of us understand risk, as well as could see our patience increase our investment tenfold. We have to ride this horse to the end.
Or......looking at what I would say is a rock-bottom/worst case scenario future low buyout price (30 cents?), I could pick up shares at around 9 cents today and make 230% on my money. Glass is always half full my friends........even when drinking a warm Irish beer.
Greenlanteren64.....do you enjoy being such an ass? In all my years investing and being on chat boards, I don't believe I have seen anyone so nasty, negative, and someone with so little class. Either you are in or out. Either you provide something positive to our conversation, or get lost. Many of us question this move, but have the respect for others and are willing to dig deeper for answers. I am going to say what I have said all along. The asset hasn't changed, and the end result is all that matters. We have no end result. Have you spoken one on one with POQ? I doubt it. Have you insight on a buyout price for Falcon? I doubt it. Have you anything of true value to add to this investment? I doubt it. Please.......produce fact that backs up your opinion. Not BS.....but facts, real data, inside information to support your arrogance. Without it, you are just really a jerk. Nobody really likes a jerk. Try better man............
Things can and always were able to happen. So why cut and run now? The fantastic news didn't change. The asset potential only got better. So let the stock price chasers sell. Those of us that didn't leverage our lives away to be a part of Falcon will sit and wait for the buyout. The end is near, or at least in sight. Hold, have faith, stop listening to those that complain. Smile :)
I could care less how "slick" of an Irishman he is. The day-to-day value of this stock, has been crap under all that have led us for 15 years. What matters, is how we finish. We will be sold, and the price he has negotiated is all that matters to me. Bashing him for what you feel he isn't doing to make us all feel warm and fuzzy, has no purpose other than adding negative opinion on this board. This asset isn't going away, and those involved in making the Beetaloo spit out wealth will continue to seek a fortune. We are in an excellent position.
I have been up to my neck deep in FOLGF since 2009. I didn't use my retirement savings or leverage any assets of mine to make my Falcon nest egg. My shares were purchased with an end result in mind. My recommendation? ......stop freaking out over the daily (manipulated in my opinion) stock price. The recently released asset results were incredible, and we will all be rewarded in the end. Patience is a virtue.
Every board needs a narcissist. We have Green L.
The news is fantastic, but did anything really change today? ....no. What did change, is the real proven potential of an incredible asset for a large player looking to profit for years to come. So we all enjoy this day, and keep what just happened in perspective. The day traders will make a penny or two selling, and what goes up with Falcon always is brought back down by trading days end. I have always believed somebody is behind the curtain keeping our stock price low. That is the best way to get us for less in the end. What we all have to decide, is what is that price. We are much closer to that day.
Agree.....Green spews negative garbage all over this board. Didn't he sell all his shares about a dozen times? If your a longtime holder of Falcon, you hope for a positive outcome. Few care what he says, and even fewer make stock purchasing decisions based off of his opinion. Next..........
Volume of 62k in the US, drops FOLGF 12% down to 8 cents. Does this pain and suffering ever end?
Fantastic news for the Beetaloo Basin. Tamboran jumps, Empire jumps, yet Falcon drops....lolol. I have always believed two things about Falcon. Our outlook for a big payday is certain, but many at the top do everything possible to deflate our value so the payday is less. No worries......we wait and smile.
Stock of the Century Kip continues to sell himself and Vertical Research memberships (lol), and has appeared on Fox Business News multiple times recently. Karl Bessey died from cancer a few years ago. Coal dust and the chemicals associated with being in the mining industry, take many too early.
Highest 18 cents a share. Average share value is 16 cents a share. Been in since 2009, and own just under a million shares. I believe in the data, but never spent a penny on Falcon that I would miss if lost. My expectations? At least a dollar a share.
Paid pennies to make dollars. Selling at this point would be foolish. In until the end........$$
BO.....but you sold all your shares?.... So why do you care?....Why do you comment? What value do you bring to this board, or other Falcon shareholders? The answer is zero. I believe you talk crap, but have never sold a single share of Falcon you own. You are ****ed off at waiting for you windfall of a return, but still have the "risk investor" feeling in your bones needed to stick around. History shows us you love to whine and keep a negative point of view. Logic tells us you have loads of Falcon stock in your portfolio, but your glass is half full way of thinking keeps you spewing "the sky is falling". Many if most of us long term (decade plus) Falcon stock holders, are just like you. We are tired, frustrated, want to lash out at all the delays in our early retirement plans. We get it......But nobody wants to hear your constant complaining, and almost sadistic way of commenting your negativity on this board. Try and add some value, or maybe stop posting at all. Try something different. Try not being you. Try telling the universe how happy you will be, when your Falcon shares increase in value 10 fold. Positivity is a good thing. We are all going to experience a very positive end to this waiting game.
Just bought more in the US. Toss them our way!
Oleo.....If I felt as negative as you, regarding the situation with any company stock I own, I would sell and move on. Falcon just doesn't seem to be the place for you. You seem to be one of investment knowledge, and have an opinion on how Falcon in the Beetaloo should be managed. You see the new agreement as a lost cause, so why stick around? Put your money where your mouth is, and sell it all. Take your loss or gain, and let this board become a memory for you. Your constant negativity, changes nothing. So either oust POQ and sit in his chair, or find a happier place to spend your money. I believe your opinion is wrong, but still respect your opinion. To continue to rant and rave about the bad deal you believe we have entered, is getting quite boring and annoying to many. Just sell......live to invest another day. Falcon will eventually make many of us very wealthy, If we can stomach the wait. I can stomach it. I wish you the best.
Did the actual asset potential change?......no. Did the asset necessity to the world energy demand change?......no. Did the Australian Government opinion about building infrastructure to support the extraction of the asset change?......no. What changed, is the actual operator that will be pulling this massive potential from the earth. Panic selling is taking place. So let it happen, buy on this dip if you want, and wait for the answer on who wants the asset. Many on this board complain daily about Origin. Origin is now dead to us...lol. Next up?
