I’m assuming this is potentially good news - note not about the FSP but about Russia’s National Wealth Fund potentially being allowed to invest in precious metals.

Russia seeks to allow National Wealth Fund to invest in precious metals

Nov 13 (Reuters) - Russia's finance ministry has proposed allowing part of its National Wealth Fund (NWF) to be invested in precious metals, according to draft legislation published on Friday.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov has previously said he favoured this plan, saying last year that he saw gold as more sustainable in the long-term than financial market assets.

The legislation proposes an amendment to an article in Russia's budget code on how the fund is managed which would add precious metals to the list of financial assets that it can invest in. These includes foreign currency and debt in other countries and international financial organisations.

The National Wealth Fund, which is designed to help balance the pension system and stores part of Russia's revenues from oil exports, was worth $167.6 billion as of Nov. 1, based on finance ministry data. (Reporting by Darya Korsunskaya; Writing by Alexander Marrow. Editing by Jane Merriman)

I hope an investigation is launched into trading platforms who suffered significant lag, time outs or simply just not working over the past couple of days. It’s been an absolute joke and some may have lost or could have potentially gained but due to technical issues this isn’t good enough I’m afraid

Ghia - defo agreed. Vaccines like many have said is no silver bullet and what’s not to say and it probably will the rona won’t mutant (sounds harsh) and the current vaccines in trials cannot deal with that. I’m in for the long term always have been - but did top slice to cover my position.

Agree with many parts of your post but many thought this would be a treatment to reduce the symptoms of the rona and that alone, and that is what many placed their bets on. This is only one positive announcement of a potentially efficient vaccine but there are so many others in Phase 3 trials so more good news to potentially come out from those trials.

Yes I agree this treatment is to support more than just CV19, but when are P3 results due to come out for SNG....end of Q1? That is a long time to wait, and money is to be made on recovery stocks.

The expectation was to make tons of cash from The rona!

Surely the FCA etc need to look at trading platforms - they clearly showed that they can’t deal with massive activity like today and that goes for LSE!

Waiting for any share do pop is a waiting game - for those in this position and experiencing this for the first time with EUA, this is a good lesson in patience.
