With conservative, Labour or any other U.K. political party who made pledges during the last election, did they forecast a world wide pandemic? Answer is no.

One happened, we have spent billions, who and how do you expect it to be paid back, that’s right tax rises. So the argument to say ‘you shouldn’t have made that pledge’ gets blown out of the window.

Pretty sure Labour or any other party would have had to change their approach due to a pandemic. If you don’t accept that you are deluded!

Tombi - I’m pretty sure when those pledges were made a pandemic wasnt on the cards unless you think that all parties and when they make their pledges need to think of every single possibility. Got it, next party plan, alien invasion tax......doubt it would happen but to appease you we need a ‘just in case’ pot of money.

Tombi- with Billions borrowed due to pandemic, please do tell how the hell we are going to stabilise the debt we have without increasing some taxes? Plant money trees? I’ll get you a shovel!

I do think the no rise in tax was down to income, vat, national insurance. Other taxes it’s fair game I think.

The biggest potential Issue I see is the RNS from late Jan 2021. FCA could object to a scheme (to redress) amigo wish to implement by end of this month.

Old finger - what’s the interest rate on you cards? Like some have said be careful with what you put in, one bad rns is all it takes. If you have skin in the game be happy with that, pay off debt, particularly high interest debt, otherwise you’ll be getting an amigo product!

Just you at the moment. For me, every time someone predicts the big rns will come out tomorrow, I think it gets delayed a day.

Patience is required - admittedly it is taking time but I have every confidence the BOD are going to get the best deal for us and if that means walking away and hoping it alone, so be it.

40p may be nice for many who got in very early and if the best offer was 40p, I’d hope the board would announce a JV or we go it alone. Yes longer to wait for returns but 40p I would class as an insult if there is meant to be c£100B potentially in the ground.

I could see the board saying to the bidder, C U Next Tuesday. I would vote with them on that!

Sharebel - in all honesty don’t set yourself expectations when the big RNS will happen, it may be Monday it may not be. When it happens it will happen. Otherwise you’ll be frustrated imho.

If you believe the BOD will do well for shareholders does it really matter when it will happen?

rather than going for a specific date, I’m going to say we will know in 2021. Either way, and as said before:

1. FSP = win
2. JV = win and we make more than FSP but will take longer.
3. Go alone = win. More risk yes, but if there is c£100B in the ground, we get ALL of it and make more than 1 and 2 put together but will take time to realise. Nice hefty divi every quarter/year
