Interesting to read the author of this article refers to ‘charging’ the car in 5 minutes and the need for ‘charging stations’. Think ‘refuelling’ would better describe this.

As a former LTH going way back to 2002 my main concern with AYM is the fact that in 20 years they’ve not mined anything at Parys, despite the company name. So why think anything is going to change? At one point they even owned a Welsh gold mine but sold that for buttons. The best outcome is a company takeover. Maybe a hobby for a lottery winner is that cheap.

Great research there Pedro and serves as a reminder that when one invests in a company one is investing in the indivuals comprising the management the company. This does come across as cronyism masquerading as a great commercial deal. Time will tell.

However has the risk not already been mitigated by the fact that the prototype/demo DMG unit at the University of Chester, next door to Protos, has proven the technology works? Has anyone involved in that project been interviewed/input their views about scaling it up to commercial size?

Have I got this right? Micon did a ‘Scoping Study’ in 2017, QME did a an ‘Optimisation Study’ after that which implied the Micon work was rubbish, and now Micon are back again to do a ‘Preliminary Economic Assessment’. Well all I can say is it’s time for a PEA.

Tim Yeo did say he was expecting planning applications for 2 and 3 to be submitted in the next 2 weeks, and this was a great endorsement of confidence in the DMG technology.

Came across a company in Ellesmere Port which processes/recycles waste tyres. Wondering if there could be some synergies for feedstock for DMG? Must be very close to Protos.

Why have they done this? Market reaction not good. Read his Wikipedia entry for a good summary of his history . I can only hope he can somehow still apply some influence on government to support PHE.
