Throwing supposed insults but unable to put up a coherent argument. Always posting non stop on the deficiencies of ITV (and now BBC) but failing to recognise that the bitterness you exude is only matched by the lack of any self awareness. Seriously if you do somehow get any satisfaction about droning on about your take on the media world then that is just sad. Take a break, get out and let other people have a voice. Fine you have an opinion but as they say you can’t have your own facts. And the facts point to someone who is dead set against sensible debate and ability to listen and learn.

The BBC whilst definitely not perfect is one of the most respected and popular media outlets in the world. It is so easy to be critical and they did indeed commit one hell of an error but still leaps and bounds above GB NEWS, Fox News etc with an unbridled agenda sowing discontent.

As to Trump suing that is both ironic and hypocritical. Someone that tramples over years of convention and due process to stamp out debate and valid alternative views without any shame. His own misdemeanour damped by lawsuits, his own attempts to sway the Fed and Supreme Court with underhand tactics unchallenged, his own blatant money making schemes running side by side with advantageous legislation….the list goes on.

As to those saying the BBC should pay out…just stop and think for a minute who ultimately pays

What you fail to either understand or admit is that the shares bought back are held in Treasury. They haven’t been cancelled and are there to distribute to employees to cover options. It is of no benefit to you as a private investor.

I will say the Oak Bloke’s most recent article looks a bit more biased in that it is written to add weight to his exit rather than credit there is a form of improvement.

CEO please tell me what part of the post below warrants such a reply? Ignorance doesn’t help. Fine if you just want to bury your head in the sand and hope good things will happen go ahead but others may be informed by the analysis.

Holders prior to (as far as I recall) May 2023 in Fox Marble will be directly compensated from any receipts from the successful litigation process. They will receive 75%.

ECOB will receive 25%. Therefore indirectly benefiting shareholders.

Do not get carried away by the quoted 195m. Firstly, any award will be a fraction of this amount (company updated Oak Bloke on this). Secondly, before any distributions the litigator will take a large chunk. Thirdly, litigation and appeals take a long, long time. If ECOB get 5-10m that would be a good result but don’t count on it

Not sure that makes any sense whatever your thoughts on the ITV CEO. If you successfully bid for the company you get to appoint your own board!

Sad to see where we have found ourself. Even most independent appraisers would find it hard not to agree the sum of the parts is not worth than the current market cap but the market has latched on to the recent disposal and the diminishing linear revenues. Worries that future cash flow will be impacted and valuations made based on this risk to me seems to veering towards the negative. Offset by growing digital income and of course the ever growing studio revenues and not to mention that even the traditional side of the business is throwing off cash.

However, they have to now be aggressive and progressive with a bid looking less likely. Spin off the studios, keep 50% in the M and E business entity and force the market to reappraise the valuation. It should be no surprise what will happen

No I replied to the question why I exited. It is all very well playing company cheerleader but there is no need to disparage others with different trading motives.

I think the main topic today will be a discussion on the validity of certain Chilean websites take on the new contract. My guess is they look suspect but I expect a company response will be forthcoming but for me the political and country risk along with execution risk is being downplayed. Never a bad time to take profits 4 times stake in 11 days is hard to pass up.

You need to differentiate acquisition based revenue growth versus organic growth. At the moment true growth is indiscernible

Fair play and all the best you did brilliantly to catch this right. Personally lost faith in the presentation of the financials and wording but at this price getting to a point where any uptick in ORGANIC growth and margins will be rewarded

Whilst I like to do my own due diligence looking at the balance sheet, pnl, cash flow and notable ratios I am not adverse to seeking help and looking elsewhere for information. I have referenced the Oak Bloke a couple of times and his analysis of WATR and its financials and mostly agree with his output thus exiting a few weeks back. I will watch and still participate in discussions here as I was a holder for many years. The lack of any investor presentations that were promised also niggled but nobody knows for sure what will happen and there are always surprises along the way so a turnaround may well happen, or may not but good luck. I will check all official releases.

To back up Oak Blokes credibility he tipped ECOB as his top pick and I bought in on 13th Oct and now over 100% up. Yes most of it was luck, yes it can just as quickly go wrong and reverse but after 4 years of diminishing returns here I have made that up and more in a week with slicing but shows that always learning and deferring to a proven track record can work. The problem here is the smoke and mirrors about the revenue figures and whether there is any growth at all or even contraction.

As I stated before the interim results I mentioned the fact they are quick to call out franchise income down due to acquisition but not so quick as to call out that company revenue growth was due to the same reason.

Well the above is factually correct but if you add in 3m revenue from integrating Texas (1.5m per quarter) then it looks a lot less impressive. However, it was not just the Texas acquisition. In 2024 there’s Fresno ($2.9m) too. Plus in early 2025 there’s a Georgia acquistion ($3m) and a plumbing business in Connecticut ($1.2m).

In fact organic growth was negative. Not sure what the company board thinks of private investors here in the uk but I expect not much from the way they present their financials and the decision to award yet more options.

A long read but a good one

As on record the buybacks in my opinion are a waste of time, but as the company are committed to them now is the time to buy!

Fingers crossed it is not trading based on insider information.

The buybacks were introduced to increase liquidity and support the share price supposedly. They have committed to upto 10% of the share capital to be purchased (although that was always unlikely). When the shares are considered ‘cheap’ is the exact time you want to execute your stated plans. Strange reply - if there stated aim and strategy is buybacks as stated why wouldn’t they should be the question
