One of the term loans also has a condition which prevents distributions. The balance of which was £4.6m in the interim results. See the below excerpt.
'The final maturity date for tranche ‘A’ of the term loans is 31 January 2024, and accordingly the earliest that dividend
payments will be considered is during the FY25 financial year.'
Yes, I think you are right: likely a small one to start, but the levels are not worse than historical levels, nor are they unmanageable. The term loan restricting distributions should hopefully be gone by the time the final results come in.
'Well that went down like a lead balloon. !' What did you expect, have you not heard about those helium shortages? ;)
The business improves, the price goes down: A recipe for building wealth.
Yikes! Morning maths and fat fingers, correction: 35% -> 25% (no capital appreciation into account, just anticipated dividends)
One again, a very good business announces very good results. A strong and resilient performance in a market of declining consumer spend, demonstrating resilience and strength. The company has achieved above inflation growth, topping upgraded profit expectations and established immediate profitable partnerships. I have many more thoughts on this business but I keep them to myself for myself. i am not a tea-leaf reader but I don'think you need to be to feel like your going to get a payout this year -- it's obvious-- and thereafter I anticipate a cash distribution equating to a 35% return each year on my original investment and, hopefully, increasing. *Tips his hat to the management*
As expected, a very good set of results. I still have to digest the results properly, but this is a good business and now has competent management. The future looks increasingly profitable.
Maybe, a general negative statement about retail can't really be said to be of much value given the recent announcement. Perhaps the recent increases in prices attracted some gamblers, and now they feel this is a lousy place to be.
I don't know, but JP Morgan are now holding a 5% position. Institutional investors now own over 50% of this company.
No, nothing concrete. The largest shareholder recently trimmed their position, having also done so earlier in the year, so it could be them taking advantage of a spike if they see better opportunities elsewhere or not.
I was being tongue-in-cheek, just so you know.
Let's hope it hits £0.80 again, though. ;)
It's good to see the good news.
Hi,
I can't see an official announcement, but it's usually in the final week of September.
There is a entry for today's date in the Alliance News strream. If you click on 'Card Share News', you should see it.
Ditto and it will be interesting to see if there is an update tomorrow.
I agree with the sentiment and some prior official notice should be given. That being said, the announcement could be impromptu and the source informal given there isn't much precedent for one at this time of the year from recent past years.
Nothing, apparently.
I am assuming that the Alliance News feed is possibly inaccurate as I can't find anything to confirm there is a trading update next week. Does anyone know any different?
Shh! Don't tell people ;)
