I am sure that Al Smith is as frustrated and furious with our politicians as we are. We have our investments to protect, he also has the reputation of Avacta PLC to protect.
Whilst we will gain through our distributors mainly abroad, Avacta will be first in the queue when the next virus appears either here or abroad.
Why? Its about quality. We have proved that not only do affimers produce very accurate tests, they can be modified far more QUICKLY than older techniques. This stupid corrupt government and its useless civil service will regret upsetting the British diagnostics industries when the Chinese try to hold them to ransom, as they will, next time.
And of course, we have many other strings to our bow. Why else would all the Avacta team be taking up all their share options? I am sure they dip into this forum too!

I have written today to Nigel Farage at GB news with a range of links from our discussions/press/etc and Neale Hanveys speech together with a long explanatory note.

At the moment talking about the VIP list and PPE contracts given to government mates etc. They do not seem to do much research themselves instead relying on viewers mailing them.
Maybe Farage would give our issues with blocking of British companies and Hanveys efforts some airtime. At least we would get a balanced view. No other channels will do this.
