The rise is in anticipation of the drill rig arrival and announcement of the drilling programme @ Bailieston.
In all the JV excitement (and it will be HUGE for the company when it is announced) it seems to have been lost that ECR could have a JORC on Blue Moon and be a PRODUCER in the next 12 months...another huge step forward for the company (and the share price).
No need for unsolicited ramping, this baby is going to take care of itself over the coming weeks/months

As for a dividend in 12 months, the chances of that are slim to none.....and slim just left town.
Carnival is a long term recovery play. All the credit rating have been downgraded two or 3 levels for a reason.
If we get sailing back to near normal levels by the next summer season then Carnival will recover over the next couple of years, but it won't be an instant turnaround. There will be ups and downs and Davee will make a good profit (playing it well!).
If (and I do not believe this will happen) we do not have all/the vast majority of the fleet sailing by the next summer season then there will need to be some drastic action required for Carnival to survive.

The bid has remained @ 1.9 so is unchanged today.
It's only the ask that has moved down.

That 1m sell @ 8.01 (I assume a warrant holder) is what caused the ask to tumble at the start of the day.

I don't think we will see any progress on JV until inter state restrictions are reviewed again at the end of the month.
The feeling is that all states with the possible exception of WA will open up for travel again from November or December.

Theoeo, Worldwide cruising capacity was due to increase by 40% over the next four years.
New ships are still being delivered (all be it at a slower rate) so I would expect the worldwide capacity over the next year or so to still increase even with the bringing forward of some decommissioning ...although nowhere near 40%. There will not suddenly be a shortage of availability.
Also 'break even' is not enough with $12.5BN + interest to repay over the next 7 years Carnival have to turn some serious profit and every month not sailing will add to that figure.

I do remember Craig Brown alluding to the fact that there were a number of these Australian mining financial companies in an interview a month or two ago.

Just throwing out numbers:
If you have a $500 margin on every oz then you would be making $50m per 100,000 oz.
Blue Moon could be in the 100s of thousands of ozs (we won't know until drilling).
And some miners have a greater profit margin per oz.
The current Mcap is c£12m....so given the possibilities above you can see the potential

We don't need to worry about further funding for at least another year.
And if we have a JORC compliant resource on Blue Moon then we will be able to approach one of the many mining banks in Australia and get a loan for the required cash to take it in to production...If we do that it will be financed with no further dilution !!!

Agreed, Once this breaks 2p we should see it rapidly move to 2.3.
Been good consolidation of the 1.9-2p range over the last couple of days to give us a new base to move from.

Would like to see this up around the 3p mark before JV news.
Confirmation of drilling starting this month should get up part of the way there...and then some lovely drilling results should see us there (and if very encouraging, beyond ) by December.

Warrant share will be sold on in some shape or form at various rates for the next year or two.
I think what is apparent is that the large rate of warrants shares we have seen being fed in over the last couple of months is definitely slowing significantly which will allow the SP to run a bit more freely.

Daveee, I think that's a prudent move. That $12.5BN is going to weigh heavy at some point if they don't get sailing in the US soon.

Nothing earth shattering...$12.5bn of debt (which we knew) , $650m a month burn rate (we knew) , working with the CDC (we knew) and limited cruises on the European brands (we knew).

As I have said before this would make sense to reduce cash burn and gain a good chunk of cash.

All speculation.... Perhaps Harry & Megan are going to be brand ambassadors for Cunard???? lol.
