I would say that is eminently possible if they sign a JV on Creswick and start to prove up both licenses.

Given ECRs point in the journey and GGPs comparable position a year or two ago and the planned course of action ahead then I would say that comparing the two in entirely reasonable.

By shorter term I mean within the next 3-12 months

A better near term comparison would be Fosterville South who in a recent interview Craig Brown stated that he believes we have arguably better assets that and they are trading with an MCAp 14 x that of ECRs.
I think that shows where Craig Brown would see our SP being in the shorter term (I think we were c 2.2p at the time so let's say 31p)
As Bailieston and Creswick are drilled out and proven up we should see the Mcap significantly increase (GGP's major re-rate came as resources were proven up)...how much that increase will be is up for debate.

Not really relevant to today's ECR... different licenses held, nowhere near as good as the current licenses and many fund raises and consolidations over the last decade.
Since Craig has taken over we have had a clear plan, got rid of non-value assets and moved forward massively compared to previous boards who were more scatter gun with their approach.

Still loads of upside here ...don't think we will see £3 in the near future (I wish !!!)

F2S, Still think we will go it alone on Bailieston.
Craig seemed not keen to take on a partner (for now) on that license in his recent interview.
Long term if ECR want to grow massively then keeping that in house would be a huge long term play.

That's if we even go for a JV at Bailieston.

Possible timeline:
Agree JV for Creswick
Prove up first half of Creswick with JV partner (don't forget we have 7km of DMS)
At same time prove up areas of Bailieston to JORC resource.
Production starts at Creswick while proving up second half.
Proceeds from production as well as arranged finance enables ECR to set up production @ Bailieston (maybe take a minority JV partner to help with finances).
Full production @Creswick
Proceeds fund expansion of Bailieston.
Start drilling Tambo (and Creswick South if license granted).

ECR could then be a PRODUCER at Bailieston as well as have a JV at a world class Creswick mine.

SP ?????

The independent assays can also be done in a matter of days as they will be able to prepare samples on site and reduce the sample size required to be sent to the lab, so can send it to labs anywhere in the world that have no delay /backlog on testing at greatly reduced cost (CB recent interview)

Looks like we will have a crack @ 2.8 tomorrow.

For balance, has anyone got any expectations that the SP might fall from here (if so, why)?

I have my own targets, but I'll show some comparisons:

Craig said recently that he thought we had better licenses than Fosterville South.
Their mcap is c£90m …...SP c14p if we get to that level (and he believes we have better)

GGP currently around £1,250m mcap. If we get to a fifth of that then c38p.
If we get to half that mcap it's c£1a share

I think those are the extremes.
I'll just say I will be disappointed if we are sat here in 12 month's time @ 14p ;-)

Constant stream of buying.
I think we will see this up to (and maybe beyond) 3.5 in the coming week.
More people are waking up to the massive potential here.
1000 sq miles of license in the hottest gold producing area in the world.
2 companies interested in a JV on Creswick (CB has previously said there could be $8BN of gold in Creswick alone).
Another party interested on Bailieston (although we want to push that ahead ourselves).
Some areas of Bailieston very similar structure to the Fosterville mine.
Drill rig on site and set to begin drilling any time.

And all 100% owned.

ECR starting to land on more radars by the look of it and attracting more interest

Trek, Your point 2 in your earlier post is an important one:
"2. One party completed DD one underway.... ping pong!"

* We have the potential for a bidding war with two parties interested.
* Both parties know this is a fantastic resource (you don't get companies like Newmont sniffing around unless there is something significant.
* They know they cannot low ball Craig Brown as he has already rejected two proposals on Bailieston, so he is going to see good value from Creswick.
* And we are not in a cash distressed position as we are fully funded for at least the next 12 months.

All this puts us in an amazingly strong negotiating position.
(And the mcap is ridiculously undervalued at the moment).

I don't think we will necessarily get specific news (maybe a comment on the company twitter) but anticipation of a deal will increase now and the SP will follow.
