Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
All the non-invested come out and regale of how they sold at the top, and revel in trying to find holes and pick pick picking away. Well done chaps and chapesses. Have a good day.
IMO a very good RNS. One we were not expecting, which are (when positive as this one is) is always a nice surprise.
We now know there is appetite for the ELISA test, which is great.
£52 price point is reasonable, compared to other lab based tests.
£52 would also indicate a very reasonable ODX price/margin point too. Hopefully we'll hear more on that in due course.
In the meantime the ABC-19 test is selling to non-UK gov suppliers, which means more profit for ODX. Manufacture dates are November 2020, and in addition to Colins recent comment that ODX have been producing ABC-19 tests, during the LFT expansion and whilst TT on Antigen progresses, in anticipation of orders, this looks to be paying off.
ABC-19 MHRA approval pending.
ABC-19 US Trademark & FDA approval progressing.
27 countries reviewing the ABC-19 test.
The Mologic AG TT (if not already completed, pending UK Gov announcement) must be near completion.
UK Gov AG contract updates - Order info pending.
CD4 sales update pending (my get that in year end update I guess)
China Food Intolerance, and break into US too... update due (as above)
There's a whole lot more to come here.
Interesting point for me, and I'll throw this one for the non-invested... we've seen Visitect triple AB tests for sale with 3rd party sellers, so why no (non, to satisfy TWATcher) RNS for those I wonder?
Have a good day all.
Thanks Mr_Robot.
Looks like the Vatic (Mologic partner) test then
https://www.biosure.co.uk/tests/covid-19-antigen-test/
They are using a saliva based CE marked rapid test. Results within 15 mins.
There was an app associated, but I missed the brand name of that.
Nice post MoreThanMe.
"I am close to the most confident I have been throughout my journey"
Out of interest, when were you most confident?
Not to mention the needs of the rest of the world, that will follow suit.
There was a fairly extensive list posted here in the last day or so, but I can't find it, or remember who posted it.
I don't have anyone in my filter, and often regret it... :-)
John, you need to do a bit more research... there is no placing planned.
Confirmed 3rd Feb.

They're being produced.. and more to the point.. sold.

Perhaps the tweets aren't targeted to volume purchasers. I expect Abingdon and Omega already have strong ties/relationships with organisations that meet that criteria.
Perhaps it's to help investors better understand the products and how they're being positioned in the market place, and with the client base.

Nicely setting out how the ABC-19 test can/should be used.
Being discussed about enabling Camp Bestival too.
LFTs certainly being talked about in various settings now.
@Twatcher
In RNS, ABDX state, "The Company is continuing to manufacture the AbC-19TM Rapid Test in anticipation of additional orders and to that end Abingdon's regulatory department is currently working with UK-RTC partners on regulatory approval in a total of 27 territories. " @Tue, 26th Jan 2021 07:01, RNS Number : 8387M
Colin recently responded to Q&A (admittedly not RNS) with, "We are currently building UK-RTC stock for forecasted demand, CD4 tests and transferring Mologic antigen test"
IMO, there will be orders.
We have only been advised of, "the UK Government's initial order of one million COVID-19 lateral flow antibody tests (the "AbC-19™ Rapid test")" back in Mon, 19th Oct 2020 07:00, RNS Number : 4024C
Since then we know the GLP have challenged the framework agreement under which that "initial order" was placed, which one can imagine restricted further orders.
That agreement has now expired (last week), and as notified by Abingdon (RTC lead), "In-line with the Government's shift to a dynamic purchasing strategy, the Board expects that any future orders will be received via an application by the Company to future DHSC tender notices." @Wed, 27th Jan 2021 18:13, RNS Number : 1241N
In a previous RNS, ABDX state, "The Company is continuing to manufacture the AbC-19TM Rapid Test in anticipation of additional orders and to that end Abingdon's regulatory department is currently working with UK-RTC partners on regulatory approval in a total of 27 territories. " @Tue, 26th Jan 2021 07:01, RNS Number : 8387M
Colin recently responded to Q&A with, "We are currently building UK-RTC stock for forecasted demand, CD4 tests and transferring Mologic antigen test"
Given that both companies are continuing to manufacture the tests.
Given the phrasing of "initial order" from the UK gov
Given the active promotion of the test being available from Abingdon and CIGA
Given the recent results from independent studies....
I think it's likely we will see some sales very soon.
All of the above is very much UK focused. There’s a whole wide world out there too. With 2 UK gov endorsed tests… that’s a big market place to be in.
The above are the big ticket items with company changing news due any moment.
In addition… there’s:
• Orders for Visitect CD4 tests
“As mentioned in the recent trading update - 7-10 countries are expected to have initiated roll out plans for the test by the financial year-end i.e, March with further countries expected to join the program in Qtr 1.”
“they are very much in the early phase and a key first step is to produce raw materials that will provide a competitive edge, that is currently our key focus”
• Orders for Food Intolerance tests
• Orders for Visitect Triple AB tests
• ELISA AB Lab testing
• And development of tests for the futute, Cryptococcal meningitis and a TB-LAM test to diagnose T.B. in people living with HIV.
It can be frustrating, having to wait for company changing events to occur.
Frustrating working with the UK gov.
Frustrating we haven’t realised huge sums of money for Covid testing this year.
Some people will choose to focus and write about that, with a glass half empty (in some cases smashed) point of view.
BUT…. All good things come to those who wait… so they say, and so for those with as half glass full perspective;
All of the above, the facilities, the increased staff, the building works, UK gov loan kit, engagement with the UK gov to produce not just one, but two leading tests. I guess it comes down to a bit of common sense, trusting in the BOD, and a lot of patience.
DYOR.. GLA. Here’s to a better day ahead.. hopefully.

DHSC Contract (Antigen)
We have not seen the commercials, this is true.
We don’t know the length of the agreement or expected demand.
There are some that will pick at these points. Potential hit to margin, may not be a lengthy contract, will take an age for them to select a test, might need to TT before manufacturing etc.
What we know:
• Colin’s response to the recent Q&A, “We are happy with the terms of the contract and that we will receive a fair price for the work we undertake for the Government”
|* Big increase in staff numbers.
• Taken on a new unit to accommodate the gov loan kit.
• Building works are underway to accommodate the expansion plans, connecting units, indicating there is a significant length to the contract and or plans for use thereafter.
• Gov is lending kit that will be used to produce ~1m LFTs per week (in addition to the ~1m per week that Omega already have)
• The UK gov have a target of producing 2m LFT tests a day. 2m per week is a small scratch on that.
• The UK gov Spring response, https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/963491/COVID-19_Response_-_Spring_2021.pdf, is littered with references to Rapid LFT testing. Twice a week for secondary/college students. Community collection centres, later becoming home delivery service, being setup.
• Tenders (large ones) open on Bidstat yet to be updated with information on who has been awarded the contracts.
• If the selected test is Mologic, great. TT is already underway.
Some will pick at Mologic TT not yet completing. Planned delivery for this was always “early in the new year” For me that’s no later than Q1. My thoughts are that perhaps it has completed. Vaccines are the news at the moment. UK gov need as many vaccinated as possible. It’s not the right time for UK gov to announce a world leading test. When it does I think we will be told TT, UKCA/CE, Order placed in very short order. Or, actually, it just takes time https://www.who.int/medicines/areas/quality_safety/quality_assurance/TransferTechnologyPharmaceuticalManufacturingTRS961Annex7.pdf (credit: Upomega for the info)
• If the selected test is Avacta, great. There was already a linked-in leak that Omega were working with Avacta on test development (pre Mologic/Avacta collaboration). I will speculate that ‘if’ it is looking like Avacta will be the test (now or future), Omega are in a a very good position to take that on, quickly.

Everything is open to interpretation. There are a few on here that do indeed state facts, often backward looking, whilst others take those same facts and read between lines and try to join the dots, forming the future view.
UK-RTC (Anitbody)
Omega, and Abingdon (and one assumes BBI), have been manufacturing ABC-19 tests in readiness for expected orders. Some will say, but they’ve not sold any (apart from the 1m gov order).
What we know:
• The original framework agreement had terms included whereby the UK gov had first refusal and had to provide approval to the RTC to sell to other parties. We know the GLP are challenging that agreement, My take on this is that with the GLP challenge, the UK gov will have felt restricted in being able to action anything (order or approve) under that agreement.
• Abingdon and CIGA are now actively advertising the availability of the ABC-19 test, taking orders (no longer pre-orders)
• That original agreement has now expired, and “In-line with the Government's shift to a dynamic purchasing strategy, the Board expects that any future orders will be received via an application by the Company to future DHSC tender notices.”
The date on this test shows November 2020 manufactured…. Promising to think they have been making them since then, throughout the time of significant expansion.
• And from this morning, https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/ODX/uk-rtc-statement-on-abc-19tm-rapid-antibody-test-soejqvf2l6wi1ra.html, great news. This will be very relevant for countries where the vaccine isn’t as readily available in the UK, in identifying those that have/haven’t got antibodies, before administering.

Wolf.. you really need to ease up on (or perhaps take) the meds.
"100k so deep who’s the muppet lol"
If you are 100k in and don't believe in your investment... then I'd suggest you are.
183. The Adult Social Care Winter Plan set out the steps the Government is taking to support care providers to protect people in care, including those with learning disabilities, from COVID-19. For example, care home staff are now being tested twice weekly with rapid lateral flow tests in addition to a weekly PCR test, and free PPE is being provided to the social care sector until the end of June, with this offer now being extended to unpaid carers. Over the winter the Government provided £120 million additional funding to help local authorities boost staffing levels and £149 million to support rapid testing of staff and facilitate visits from family and friends (prior to the current restrictions coming into force).
197. In addition to a comprehensive revaccination programme, set out in chapter 2, the Government will also use the Test, Trace and Isolate system to keep the virus in check. This includes regular asymptomatic testing in sectors with the highest risk of transmission, as well as testing in the workplace to help protect employees from infection and keep businesses open. The UK has already stepped up domestic production of lateral flow tests.
Current Test, Trace and Isolate system
As around 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 do not have symptoms, the Government has established widespread asymptomatic testing. This is conducting around 2.4 million rapid tests per week, including to all NHS and Adult Social Care staff and, since January, all school staff.
• Workplace testing: twice-weekly testing for all those unable to work from home.
(Testing available for all who have to leave the home for work.)
• Community Testing: local authority-led testing available at asymptomatic test sites on an ongoing basis.
(Testing live in over 260 local authorities in England.)
• NHS frontline staff: twice-weekly home testing.
(Testing live.)
• Care homes: three tests a week for staff, monthly PCR testing for residents.
(Testing live.)
• High-risk extra care and supported living: three tests a week for staff, monthly PCR testing for residents.
(Testing will go live from late February.)
• Domiciliary carers: weekly testing.
(Testing live.)
• Schools and colleges: twice-weekly testing of teachers and secondary school and college pupils.
(Live for teachers - full rollout for pupils from 8 March.)
• Universities: twice-weekly testing for all students and staff currently on-site.
(Testing live.)
• Hauliers: testing to enable cross-border travel.
(Testing live.)
• Other settings (including prisons and hospices): mix of PCR and rapid testing
(Testing live.)
