I agree it was a simplistic view... but in theory it could play out.

I think the vast majority of the LFT capacity to date, as it has expanded over recent months, has been for ABC-19.
I'm sure I saw a Walbrook email to an investor that stated ODX had been stockpiling, as Abingdon have been.
The absence of any mention of that in today's update is telling, to me at least, that next week we will hear more.
What we hear, I'm guessing, will be that we've sold to other parties and not the UK Gov.
The UK Gov demand for that test will come later in the year (4,5,6 months from now?) when this first round of vaccines come up for assessment of effectiveness.

With regards to switching lines for production, Colin has implied it can be done fairly easily.. though I'm sure there are complexities, and a certain amount of time needed, to do it.

With regards to the other Covid test:
Visitect AB, in particular, I think that has a strong future but we just haven't had the capacity to produce at scale to date.

More waiting to find out. Some will say more jam tomorrow... but it's getting more tasty with every passing update.

A UK Gov line of AG tests, what for a certain period of time will consume all capacity available

Overtime, when perhaps more manufacturers are online to support UK Gov demand, then Omega can switch some capacity to higher margin lines of:
ABC-19 tests (most initially to go to the UK Gov)
Visitect AG tests
Visitect Triple AB tests
Visitect CD4

Then from all in parallel, from Littleport:
Food Intolerance
ELISA AB Lab testing

2021 is going to be a great year for Omega. Just need more clarity on the numbers.

And if only some of our capacity is loaned by the Gov, and we leverage some of our existing capacity, does that mean we can command a higher 'blended' price/margin per test than perhaps GAD or SureScreen, who appear to have had substantial loans/funding from the Gov already?

I'll get reading/following.

Great news today, to clear up (if clearing up was needed) the news from the weekend of the UK Gov contract.

The interesting parts for me, the huge opportunity and revenues aside, are:
"this supply contract will lead to significant volumes of tests being delivered over the coming weeks and months."
"we are likely to deliver substantial revenue growth compared to this financial year"

So we know there will be very good money coming in in the coming year(s)
The reputational benefit of being associated with the UK Gov, I think, out weighs the frustration of working with them.
I think this will greatly help ODX in it's global distribution of tests, when the time comes.

The parts that are of intrigue are:

Is this DHSC waiting on the Mologic (Visitect) test?
Is the SureScreen?
Is it AVCT?

"DHSC will loan a number of key pieces of manufacturing equipment."
What % of total ODX capacity will that make up?
We know that at the end of this month we were planned to be @~900k per week. Does the loan kit take us to 2m per week from there?

I've looked in every so often.

I've kept my full investment in ODX, and think it has many legs to run...

But in AVCT.. the Mologic/AVCT/ODX is of interest to me. I think there are good things to come from this collaboration.

Just put some in AVCT, after being in ODX for some time. Interesting plot twists indeed.

I think there is news to come on the RTC front, especially after the 14th.
Abingdon and CIGA have active promotion and order taking going on at the moment.
I think we'll see quick sales of the stock piles, and will hear more about the UK Gov longer term plans to use the tests, in time.
