That in itself is quite interesting, because when I had an LFT Antigen test Innova was plastered all over the packaging.
So the absence of a brand may indicate a new/different manufacturer.

The timescale set, by Omega, was early in the new year.
We're very mush still early in the new year, the last time I checked the calendar.

I personally hoped we would have had news of completion by now, but that was based on the time it took for the Mologic AB TT (~4 weeks) . And for that reason, I think, it could be any day now that we hear news on it.

The existing vaccines are successful.
Can't see it making a difference to us now.

I noted on the news too, that the new vaccine is only 50% effective with the SA strain. ?Nobody is talking about any of the vaccines with the Brazil strain, which is causing havoc.

This test, currently, is for professional use only.. as clearly stated.
We know it's effective, we've seen the data.
The manufacturers have all CE marked it.

My wife did the Ipsos MORI (fortress) LFT test the other day.
Very straight forward.
Drop of blood straight into one well-off the LFT, and solution in the other well. 10 mins.. job done.

Nice to see in writing that Omega are continuing with production of the ABC-19 test, in line with the announcement from Abingdon earlier in the week. They must have a nice stock pile ready to go in a couple of weeks.

the 75p profit was the 'expected' profit on the UK GOV orders. The first resulted in 'slightly better margin', but we weren't told the actual ammount.
If we supply the ABC-19 test to other parties, though, it works out much more profitable.
It's a great test to have in the Omega line up.

And let us not forget... by the time April comes, and we're producing 2 Million tests a week, this RTC malarky makes up just 10% of that.
I've no doubt Colin and team will be able to find another test to divert that 200k per week towards.
The joys of a scalable production environment, that Omega have planned for from day one.

The ONLY thing that has changed is that Abingdon "expects that any future orders will be received via an application by the Company to future DHSC tender notices" instead of under the initial framework agreement.
Last I researched, the RTC was still setup by the UK GOV, the ABC-19 was funded by the UK GOV. The ABC-19 test is still the gold standard AB LFT. In a 'competitive' tender I'm sure it will fair well.

In fact one other thing that may have also changed is that news of MHRA approval for home use has been granted. One for further digging.

I think there's more news to come this week. Boris has just flashed open the kimono.

Abingdon claiming they are stock piling. I choose to assume (as other will choose to oppose) that Omega are doing the same. They have people queuing for the ABC-19 test, and the RTC were just waiting for the DHSC shackles to be released.

I also think (others will oppose) Colin and team have CE marked the Mologic Antigen test by now too. I think (others will oppose) they are awaiting a government nod before they can announce it.

I like that the ELISA service is online. It's an additional revenue stream that doesn't eat into, in fact supplements, the LFT business.

There must be some news on the CD4 (NGO) front very very soon too.

If you've done the research, and believe, and have invested, block out the obvious doom mongers.

I'm not invested here, and not done a great deal of research on ABVDX, but I seem to recall someone calling out a statement in the prospectus that claimed Abingdon would be manufacturing 50% of RTC orders. Whether that's, no less than, or other.. I don't know.
I'm guessing BBI will have a 25% option, in addition to ODX no less than 25%.
