We know Colin had detailed scale up plans on the 30th November, to get us at least to 2m (week) by April.
I wonder if Colin is already thinking beyond the 2m by April, with the UK gov potentially providing additional equipment to scale up production further.

The point I am making is, you claimed ONLY 5 were being tested.
Nowhere does it state that ONLY 5 are being tested. Agreed, it lists 5 and says, and to quote, " As part of THE MOST RECENT round of Phase 3 testing, the performance of five LFDs has been evaluated" I also agree Mologic is not in the list of 5.

But that statement implies there have been or will be other rounds of Phase 3 testing.
We also do not know if the data Mologic have yet to share demonstrates testing against variants.

Why don't we wait for the news and confirmation from Mologic and or Omega, instead of speculating.

Twatchers post is their false interpretation of published GOV content.

Facts are nobody knows if it is being, or has been, test against variants.

key points for me:
"most recent round of phase 3 testing" - Would imply there have been and could be others. No reason Mologic isn't being considered in further phase 3 testing.
"the performance of five LFDs has been evaluated" - It doesn't state the performance of 'ONLY' five LFDs have been evaluated

I've missed Mologic being trialled in Liverpool community testing. Can you please share the details on that, I you have them to hand?

TWatcher, No confirmation bias here. I filter no-one (though sometimes think I should) and welcome contrasting views.

The facts are;
This page was published on the 23rd of December.
The 5 tests listed would appear to be tests that had been CE marked prior to the 23rd December.
Those tests have been used in the public domain, outside of trials, and as such the public have a right to know about these and how they work with new variants.
The Mologic test has been used in Heathrow trials (maybe Liverpool)
The Mologic test was CE marked on the 24th December.
Mologic are still to publish their full data (is my understanding).

I'm not close to the government content/web team, so don't know what their content lifecycle is, so the page could be out of date - hence my perhaps
In the absence of full data from Mologic (which the gov may already be reviewing) we don't know if the test has already been tested against variants - hence my perhaps

You can speculate... I can speculate...

I'm sure we will be told in due course.
Perhaps Colin will let us know when they advise that Omega T&T and CE mark is completed.

Given that the Mologic test was CE marked on the 24th December, which occurred long after the expected date of end October, and given that the government have awarded a tender to cover the costs of GAD (Mologic)... and given the page you reference was published on the 23rd December;
Perhaps the Mologic test is already tested against variants.
Or perhaps the page is just out of date, and since the 24th the Mologic test in in scope now as well.

19'20" onwards - "In terms of the technical transfer. As promised we have commenced that work , with Mologic, to bring the test into Alva".... " We expect that work to complete early in the new year, and importantly sales to commence early in the new year as well".

In the same presentation Colin confirmed that expansion plans were on track.

Confirms they’re on track to be at 500k a week by the end of the year (2020) and @20’35” in, Colin states, “we’re making great progress in reconfiguring our site in preparation for more equipment, and people, to deliver the step increase in capacity that we’re projecting for February, March and April” – That lands at 2million tests a week.
