Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Just take 1 for example SXX. A polyhalite mine. (A super fertiliser) was going to be the next big thing in the north. Job creation, lots of money into the area. People put their life savings into it, on belief it was going to be the shiny light for the north. They used the small investors money to build the mine. It was very exciting. People bought in for 20p plus. 60p etc. They then sold out to anglo for a cut price of 5.5p leaving shareholders with big losses. It was the first mine in england for years. Thsres too much politics over here. Never seem to get anything done. Even there they were putting in their own rail line straight to the docks. There were rules on hgvs driving over the moors/aonb. It always ends up as a NIMBY, delays things, costs more. It's a classic, throwing money into a hole in the ground and most of your problems are from the people on the ground.
They are keen to expedite progress, which has already been shown. Lots of delays due to covid yet managed to stay on/ahead of programme. Sampling results within a month 08/09. It's literally 2 weeks at most before results are reported. If its positive, gold production could be even sooner. Gold is strong at the moment no sign of it weakening for the next 18months IMO. Theres alot of concerns over covid vaccine and side effects, some companies (TILS) focusing on treatment rather than a vaccine. Ncap here should at least be 20m IMO
