A quick reminder of where company should be at...

Q8: What time scale do you see you can get the lowest cost version of Microtox PD, and roughly where do you aspire for the lowest cost to be?
The MicrotoxPD unit is in a constant evolution to reduce in size and achieve multiplex (range of pathogens on a single chip) and it is likely that this will continue over the duration of the 2.8m Euro project of development, partly paid for by Enterprise Ireland and the grant of 750,000. This is about half way through a 24 month project.
##
##
So that project should be reaching a conclusion shortly (or for those that prefer, soon). Especially given the reckless abandon of spending with MSYS... yes? To date we've seen nothing for money spent.
Same source:
Q41: When will a product listing for Microtox PD be added to Modern Water website?
We still classify them as under development, and will add them when we have the full array of consumables, and pathogens to be detected as part of a catalogue. It is important to understand that we are rolling these units out as we continue to tweak and develop and miniaturise them dynamically
##
##
Between then and now still no product listing. Likewise nothing for MicroTrace PDV7000...
Delays to orders that have caused current difficulties can be laid at the door of those outside the company. The delivery of project can not.
Time draws near to demonstrate capabilities...

Aptamer Group PLC
05 May 2023
Revenue for the ten months ended 30 April 2023 was approximately £1.4m (unaudited) as the existing pipeline of new business has taken longer than expected to convert, especially licensing and royalty-based contracts, against a backdrop of continuing market headwinds.
The Group now expects full year revenues to be materially below FY2022. The sales pipeline remains healthy across both fee-for-service and licensing, and while the Group expects some of this to be recognised as revenue in the current financial year, the majority, if converted, will fall into the next financial year.

Well they aren't indicating PD isn't happening so that's good... (even if maybe don't be holding your breath while waiting). Year end 30 June, so their outlook still allows for a good six months to end '23 for DVRG.
Anybody any information re: Domi Ost? Google proving fairly useless and the spotlight just interesting enough it would be nice to know what Domi are working on... :
EQTEC and Domi Ost are currently
discussing sustainability opportunities for
heavy energy user sectors and transport
services in Ireland. Both sectors have grown
significantly over the past two decades,
and Ireland intends to grow them further,
with a clean energy footprint. Beyond
the considerable power requirements
inherent in delivery of services, investors
in the industry sector are looking at
options for strong investment cases for
clean generation of baseload power.
The transport sector is looking at a
decarbonisation strategy that includes
biofuels or other chemicals to support
Ireland’s overall objective of a clean
carbon footprint.
Don't recall below linked article being mentioned here (dated 27 April):
LABSKIN is a global-playing business immersed in the most cutting-edge of science and technology, with strong Irish connections (Cork businessman Fin Murray is the main board director and chief operating officer).
"At the start of Covid, as our corporate customers’ labs started locking down like dominos and companies all around us were sequestering their staff, we challenged ourselves to come up with something brilliant,” says Murray. “The data team said if we could get more skin microbiome data, we’d be able to hyper-accelerate R&D with our customers by giving deeper skin science insights using the microbiome as a biomarker. Our science team said the only way to get more data was a home test for consumers. With in-house scientists, technologists, and data specialists, we figured out how to process skin samples and do genome sequencing at scale.”

Can see why it hasn't been promoted by STC (unless I missed it)... presumably a considerable lead-time for that article being published. Also presumably 'soon' it'll be even more inaccurate.
Also App V3 soon? Long overdue... Can we get confirmation to how the ability to scan products will be implemented. Obviously this is a feature that should be paywalled behind an active subscription (something along the lines of 1 year free service with an STC test, or small monthly charge outside of that window would make sense).
The recurring value to end users of STC is considerably more once V3 goes live. Given the ongoing delay it seems more than reasonable to ask what they agree playing at...

Can't be bothered looking for appropriate thread so will just note here that a new document has been added on patent application site (18/4/23). Totally unexciting, but the mailing date of letter to PurdyLucey is 27 April. But for that being today it would have gone unremarked... Find under documents tab:

About time some progress made with that? 22 Dec 20 (priority date) + 30 months = soon (even if we don't have an agreed definition of soon...).
NF CDC update posted:
CDC Annual Meeting-March 20, 2023 Minutes
Posted on April 26, 2023 by Donna Henderson
8. Biomass plant—update: Wade Wheeler gave an update. “Things are happening”.
They are still looking for funding. The plant will be hiring employees and will focus on the North Fork community as much as possible. They anticipate starting operating this year!
9. Legal advice re: NFCP bankruptcy: There is a bankruptcy proceeding in progress.
The CDC now has a holding company as an LLC, which may have a 36% equity (still resulting in zero profits). In the meantime, the NFCP and individuals have been sued. Dan Rosenberg is meeting with lawyers regarding this action. Our CDC “directors and officers” policy provides protection against lawsuits. More information is forthcoming.

An update on certification uptake would be useful... Anybody seen it in the wild?
At least this lot have it on their website:

Scandalous:
Whilst further analysis continues, based on the current available information and analysis to date, it is clear that revenues for a number of contracts have been incorrectly recognised in excess of works completed and therefore revenues for 2022 under the relevant accounting standard IFRS15 are expected to be approximately 45-50% of the £17.2m revenue figure provided by the previous executive management team and notified to the market.

Busy, and even evidence of some sales...
Below Simonpietri Enterprises stories also probably worth resurfacing. Mainly because the ability of EQTEC to deal with contaminated inputs and output as required seems to be overlooked by some...

They've been to North Fork and plan to use EQTEC technology according to the mauinow.com link.
EQTEC and contaminated plastics:
Professor Yann Rogaume, Professor and Head of Research Team at Université de Lorraine commented:
“This report builds on our long-standing collaboration with EQTEC at our R&D plant which has been operating for the past 10 years. Our teams’ specialist capabilities are in fine-tuning EQTEC’s technology equipment and process, to prove that it can successfully handle an increasingly diverse group of very complex waste feedstocks, which now includes contaminated plastics such as the industrial materials we tested from SEPS. This series of tests opens the door to proving the capabilities of hydrogen production from syngas with high efficiency and low environmental emissions rates.”
https://eqtec.com/eqtec-technology-innovation-programme-expanded/
And given the talk of SAF perhaps also worth remembering relationship EQTEC have with CompactGTL:
Anar Asgarov, CEO of CompactGTL, commented:
"CompactGTL has already proven itself in the oil & gas sector and is very happy now to be turning our attention to the growing sector for clean, renewable energy. Our ability to transform a variety of gases into liquid fuels is well suited to syngas conversion, and our technology works. Our greatest challenge to date has been finding a sufficiently pure syngas that can be tuned for the sorts of fuels that are suitable for markets such as aviation and heavy haulage. Discovering EQTEC's end-to-end process capabilities and the quality of syngas its technology produces was decisive. We are delighted to formalise our relationship, with a view to joint work on a demonstration plant that will open the door to new markets for syngas-to-fuel solutions."

Well aware some believe the boat has sailed for BT. But this none DVRG news disagrees (multiplex anyone?). Immensely useful...:
COVID or flu? Ultra-thin sensor 'can detect both within 10 seconds', say scientists
Deji Akinwande, from the University of Texas at Austin, said this suggested the sensor could be used for identifying the even sp****r viral particles found in people's breath.
"They can improve the ability to detect very small quantities of basically anything that needs to be sensed," he said.
He added: "When both of these viruses are circulating together as they did earlier this winter, it would be immensely useful to have a sensor that can simultaneously detect whether you have COVID, flu, none of the above or both."

Modern Water's Jon Shepherd and AmbiFirst - Monitorização Ambiental, Lda's Luis Castro and Patricia Alexandre, our Portugal distributor, have been visiting customers in Lisbon and the Algarve to discuss water analysis and developments in analytical measurement techniques.
Focusing on #toxicity, #tracemetals and the invention of the world's first analyser for online detection of pathogens, bacteria and viruses we have been helping customers develop their ability to solve their water challenges.
With presentations to the Living with Water conference hosted by the LNEC as well as hands on training and application discussions with key environment agencies and health organisations, it’s been a busy and varied week of very interesting discussions.
So still no sign of PDV7000... Nearly six months on from WEFTEC. Below Google translated:
Completed the inspection and maintenance of the PDV series heavy metal analyzer of Guangxi Environmental Monitoring
In addition, we showed the latest model of the PDV 6000ultra portable heavy metal analysis system to the customer, and demonstrated the latest tablet operating system for them. Operators believe that the tablet application is more suitable for on-site heavy metal detection and timely data analysis.

There is always next month (again Google translated):
On April 13-15, 2023, the 21st China International Environmental Protection Exhibition (CIEPEC 2023) will kick offat the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Pavilion) in Beijing .
Modern Water will participate in the exhibition together with the British Department of International Trade Pavilion, and will bring the latest products and applications to the exhibition. We sincerely invite you to visit booth 3613 in Hall 3 to exchange ideas and discuss cooperation.
