However, what they’re willing to sell at a loss, someone is obviously willing to buy on the cheap as volumes are high and according to my broker there are more buys than sells. Let’s hope tomorrow sees us back about £1.

Genl down 3.2% GKP down 12%, says it all really, GKP has a lot of retail investors versus Genl’s institutions. If Genl was down a similar amount I’d be inclined to think there’s something very serious going on but, they’re (Genl) just tracking Brent and the general low mood, GKP investors are taking flight in panic.

There may well be a “rebellion” against the US’s influence but, it’s not playing out in northern Iraq and eastern Turkey. All imo of course but, I’m sure someone will try to convince me that the west and in particular the US are evil because they (the punter) invested in a shambolic oiler. As PUTUP says there’s a bit of resistance around these prices and I expect a dead cat bounce later today, I’ll choose the best time to dump based on this.

Good article but sadly nothing new there. Iraq could easily fill the vacuum left by Russia and with access to the Mediterranean, hydrocarbons could easily be transported to the European market. Until Iraq can get IOCs onboard, the development of their oil and gas industry won’t improve. Locating large gas reserves in the north would be a real game changer, not sure if they’re interested in looking.
